Obama Calls Poverty Of Nation Successful Economic Policy
Tuesday evening, July 24, standing in Oakland, California, which is approximately 30 minutes from the city of Stockton, Obama told the people that his economic policy was working and the people, led by Rep. Barbara Lee, cheered. One must wonder if the people of Stockton feel the same way. And allowing that they do, how do they reconcile his economic policies with the fact that they just became the largest city in U.S. history to file for bankruptcy?
The question the rest of the American voters must ask is how Obama reconciles his self-affirmation of economic success with the fact that there are more people living below the government‘s poverty line than at any time since 1959. There are 46 million people or 15.6 percent of the population, living in poverty, i.e., people with an annual income below $11,139.
As Brian at “Brian’s Right Perspective” wrote: “We tried our plan – and it worked!”
President Obama is now hitting uncharted territory with, possibly, the most delusional statement he’s yet made on the economy. He can’t possibly believe the crap that falls out of his mouth, so I can only conclude that this President, and this administration, believe that the American people are stupid enough to believe this tripe.
Let’s see how well Obama’s economic plan has worked:
June 2012:
Unemployment (U-3) – steady at 8.2% (up from 8.1 in Apr)
Underemployed (U-6) – rose to 14.9%
Long Term Unemployment ([more than] 27 weeks) 5.4 million or 41.9% of all unemployed
Discouraged workers – no longer looking: 821,000
Labor Force Participation: 63.8%
Americans who have left labor force: 8.6 million
Americans on Food Stamps (Apr2012): 46.2 million (1 in 7 Americans)
US GDP (1st Qtr 2012): 1.9% (Historical 3.25%) – GDP under 3% 6 of last 7 Qtrs (3% – 4th Qtr 2011)
In addition to all of the sunshine shown above, since June 2009 inflation-adjusted income has plummeted under Obama by 6.7%. That is, the money you do make, buys less.
I wonder what the numbers would look like if Obama’s plan didn’t work? (June 24, 2012)
And lest we forget, just last week Obama flared his nostrils in a crazed, rage-filled outburst and railed against successful business owners–telling them that they weren’t responsible for the success of their companies, someone else (specifically the government) was. He shouted that they weren’t as smart as they thought they were and that other people had worked just as hard as they had, if not harder. And again the people his campaign had carefully assembled, grinned and cheered on cue in agreement.
The other morning, as I enjoyed a cup of coffee and a good cigar from the comfort of my king-sized bed, I watched part of the “Rocky and Bullwinkle” movie. (It was either either that or Fox and Friends).
There was a part in the movie where the masses were seated, with glasses on, staring at a person on a monitor, shouting in unison, “I will vote for fearless leader.” That is apparently what we have today: people sitting before (TV) monitors, chanting in unison, “Obama will take care of us.”
It defies every measure of reality that Obama believes his policies have worked. Every measurable index proves the exact opposite. That means either Obama is knowingly lying and misleading the people, or worse he is completely disconnected from reality.
That said, his own words and actions prove he is a mendacious narcissistic Marxist-Leninist unfit to occupy the White House.
