Obama's 'Commie Take-Our-Guns-Away' Speech

Every time I see or even hear Obama’s voice I have a visceral reaction, and his “commie take-our-guns-away” speech in the immediate aftermath of the Oregon mass shooting was a prime example of what invokes my contempt for him.

[highlight]Obama’s rush to the microphone to give a national speech was an unconscionable act of self-promotion and an opportunity to further his goal of abrogating the Second Amendment.[/highlight]

A true leader would have sought to comfort the grieving families and the horror stricken community as a whole. But a narcissistic megalomaniac would seize the moment to do exactly what Obama did – turn the tragedy into a treatise about themselves. In the 12-minute diatribe Obama referred to himself 28 times. That means that Obama ostensibly gave a speech about himself, not one intended to bring solace to a grieving community.

In my opinion, at that moment Obama was no better than Chris Harper-Mercer, the Torrance, California native responsible for the Umpqua Community College mass killing of nine Christians and the wounding of nine others. Both Mercer and Obama sought pubic attention to satiate their evil agendas. Mercer to murder Christians and Obama to rob We the People of our Constitutional right to own and bare arms under the Second Amendment.

A true leader would have offered words of comfort to a stunned nation. A true leader would have flown to the Oregon community and spent time with the families; those mourning, and those in shock. A true leader would have showed leadership; they wouldn’t have displayed the most craven characteristics that we have come to expect from this mockery of propriety.

A true leader would not have seized a moment of unparalleled heartache to push their unconstitutional agenda.

Instead of leading Obama mumbled and stuttered through the same lies he has told before. Contrary to what Obama claims, the countries in the world with the most stringent and oppressive gun laws also have the highest number of violent crimes. And despite his neo-Leninist contention, the Second Amendment isn’t a law that allows the citizenry only to have firearms the government determines necessary for hunting and home protection.

It is a fact: That countries with the strictest gun-control laws also tend to have the highest homicide rates. It is a fact: Switzerland has relatively lenient gun control for Europe, and yet has the third-lowest homicide rate of the top nine major European countries, and the same per capita rate as England and Wales. It is a fact: “The Swiss basically have military rifle in nearly every closet. It is a fact: Many of the countries with the strictest gun control have the highest rates of violent crime. Australia and England, which have virtually banned gun ownership, have the highest rates of robbery, sexual assault, and assault with force of the top 17 industrialized countries. These facts are neither new nor are they surprising. What is new is that unlike any other time in the history of the United States, we now have a person who has no regard for the Constitution or the citizenry of America.

President George W. Bush brought calm and reassurance to New York after Muslims murdered thousands of Americans on September 11, 2001. On September 11, 2012, Obama knowingly had his staff concoct an inane pack of lies to cover his misdeeds in Benghazi. A pack of lies designed to cover-up the murders of Ambassador Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith, and Glen Doherty. And as of the date I am writing this article, Obama has yet to extend comfort to the families of those he allowed to be murdered without lifting a finger to help.

With that thought in mind Muslims have been singularly responsible for terrorist attacks such as bombings, mass shootings, and beheadings in America and yet Obama has turned America into a doormat for Muslims who feign refugee status to gain entrance into the United States. I daresay if Obama spent as much time keeping illegal aliens and Muslims out of our country as he does defending the likes of Michael Brown, all Americans could feel safe. But I digress.

President George W. Bush, like him or not, met with grief-stricken families privately and comforted them. Obama uses pain and loss as a backdrop to spew forth his hateful screeds and pernicious lies.

Obama isn’t a leader – he is a usurper. He is a usurper of privilege and a usurper of what America has to offer to the extent that it benefits him personally. Additonally he is a destroyer. Obama doesn’t look forward to a better America; he looks forward to an America created in the image of Saul Alinsky.

Obama envisions a government based on nationalism and collectivism. Even worse, Obama is bereft of propriety but filled with ghetto hubris and the pop-culture swagger of commonality.

The dark hand of fate presented Obama with another opportunity to lead. Instead he reduced a moment that could have defined his time in office as having a brief modicum of decorum, to one of base commonality, lies, and attempted subjugation.
