Obama's shuck and jive

In the movie “Other’s People’s Money,” the character played by Gregory Peck game an impassioned speech to his stock holders explaining why embattled business should remain open. At the conclusion of the Peck character’s speech, Danny DeVito’s character, know as “Larry the Liquidator,” who was there to argue the plant was a financial cancer that needed to be closed for the sake of the business supporting it and the stockholders.

Devito began his speech with the memorable words: “Amen, and amen, and amen…where I come from, you always say “Amen” after you hear a prayer. Because that’s what you just heard – a prayer. Where I come from, that particular prayer is called “The Prayer for the Dead.” You just heard the prayer for the Dead, my fellow stockholders, and you didn’t say, “Amen.”

A very similar statement can be made in the aftermath of Obama’s “laying out of his deficit reduction speech this morning.” But instead of “Amen,” we should be hearing “hip-hip-hooray, yah baby, you da’ man, and woo-woo-woo as fists pumped in the air.” Because while Obama’s speech wasn’t a prayer, it was a campaign cheerleader speech intended to pump up his base. As a matter of fact, I’m surprised the EPA didn’t fine him for releasing pollutants into the air.

We should have have heard cheers and seen high-fives. And not for nothing, I wouldn’t doubt for an instant that to a greater or lesser extent that is exactly what happened when he got back to the OVal Office.

It is my opinion that his entire jobs bill and proposed legislation, is nothing more than subterfuge being used to obfuscate, what we should be focused on. The American public needs to be focused on Obama’s lies and the Congressional complicity pursuant to the illegal and unjustified invasion of Libya. We should be focused on his destabilizing the region surrounding Israel. We should be in discussion with what that portends for the future, just as the people stood by and watched Carter meddle in Iran, sabotage Pahlavi, which allowed for the rise of the Ayatollahs and the brutish Cro-Magnon witch-doctors posing as religious leaders preaching beheadings and mutilation of women.

While Obama is fomenting class warfare, the people are not paying attention to the illegal federal government run arms sales operation with Mexico. Guns, that were supplied to Mexican drug cartels and were used to murder American border guards. I say we talk about that. I say we talk about why he and Napolitano continue to thump their chests, as illegals poor across our borders, committing heinous violent crimes and murders. We need to discuss what Mexican illegals alone are costing taxpayers as a drain on the hospital system and WIC programs alone.

Instead of claiming his plan isn’t about class warfare, which even biggest dullard and luddite knows immediately upon hearing, is a lie. It is about class warfare – and he is intentionally misleading the American people with outright lies. He loves to spin that billionaire Warren Buffett’s secretary pays more income tax than Buffet himself does.

He knows full well that that is because she makes more income than Buffett. What, how can that be you say? It’s because she earns her money on income, i.e. salary, and I’m guessing she is paid handsomely for the ability she brings to the table professionally – as she should be. I would be surprised if Buffett earns more than a few dollars in salary a year if that. He earns his money on capital gains and investments. Said are taxed differently and should be. The American public in large part doesn’t know about, much less understand how the aforementioned works. And Obama plays on that ignorance to create envy and resentment to further his agenda of punishing the so-called rich for being successful.

Instead of giving campaign speeches on the White House steps, Obama should be before a grand jury giving testimony about Solyndra, Light Squared, Evergreen Solar, Mountain Solar, Inc., Spectrawatt, and Olsen MIlls ACQ. The question I want answered is how much of the stimulus money that went to these failing solar/green companies came back to Obama and the DNC in the form of campaign contributions?

Instead of him preening and pontificating as he misleads about his intentions, I want to hear why he needs more Czars. Congress is the other branch of government, not Czars and yet there is a very real likelihood that he is using Czars as a defacto branch of government and passing their legislation with executive orders.

We should be talking about, why, if the jobs bill is so important it not only won’t be completed for another month, but add to that that as he stood there fomenting contempt toward those fortunate enough to be rewarded handsomely for the fruit of their labors, but it won’t be ready until after he takes another vacation.
