‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Our military deserves better

September 21, 2011

The American military is the finest and most elite fighting machine in the history of the world. The record of our military’s accomplishment is unparalleled and unequaled. American military achievement, since its first boot step and rifle shot some hundreds of years ago, has been done without special nomenclature that says, “I’m a homosexual.” And not surprisingly, the performance of our military has not been impaired.

Homosexuality and lesbianism are choices of sexual orientation. They are a chosen lifestyle. Homosexuality is on the extreme end of the spectrum of perceived sexual preference. Should we also give special deference to persons who prefer intimacy with the lights on or on the beach or with their goldfish in the room or those who are only attracted to redheads or those who are attracted only to extremely overweight people?

For all of the negative things that can be said about homosexuality, and specifically its being forced upon the military vis-a-vis public display, tell me how having them openly in the military makes the military more efficient and more capable?

Sexual preference doesn’t make a better soldier, but I can tell you that every military person I have spoken to, says it will prove to have a negative effect on our military. I find that to be particularly poor trade off. And the fact that homosexuals refuse to see this, unambiguously indicates that they are not interested in service, they are interested in politicizing sexual preference irrespective of the effect.

This corruption of propriety by homosexual activists isn’t about service, it’s about destroying an institution that rejects their perversion. It is no different than their attacks on the church, and we need look no further than the instances of rape, pedophilia, not to mention a perversion of scripture going so far as to have them claim that Jesus had homosexual relations with John – to see the damage that has done.

This push to be identified as homosexual is an attack against a structure in which homosexuals have proudly served without tags and labels since there was a military. This bigger push has to do with homosexuals forcing their sexual preference on the public. It has to do with homosexuals forcing the public too approve of their perverted sexual appetites.

Men and women in the military have separate showers for a reason, what heterosexual male wants to have homosexuals showering next to them? Do you personally want to share quarters on a ship or in a submarine with a transsexual in the bunk above or below you? Think about it.

Not approving of homosexuality is not necessarily an assault on the homosexual as a person, but it is a strenuous, unapologetic, objection to their subverting tradition. Sexual preference is not a civil right any more than beastiality and pedophilia is a civil right. Homosexuality and lesbianism are errant sexual preferences that have transmogrified into laudable public, sexual practices.

How long before lawsuits become the order of the day, because a homosexual complains they weren’t able to enlist or they weren’t promoted because they’re homosexual? How long before inferior personnel are accepted as enrollees out of fear of legal retribution? How long before complaints arise pursuant to there not being enough homosexual, lesbian, transgendered, officers? How long before we see affirmative action subverted to demand that all branches of military must have an legislated percentage be based on a sexual preference?

How long before we see Mash’s Corporal Klinger in the bunkhouse or coming back to base after a hot night out? Ridicule me if you like, but I remember people ridiculed me when I said the day was soon coming that the church would be attacked in unconscionable ways. Homosexual pastors preaching Jesus had homosexual relations, the ability to sue a church/pastor for preaching the bible, homosexual clergy pastoring a church and living with their homosexual partner – have proved me right.

Finally, it is worth noting that Obama and Holder objected to “Gitmo,” because as they argued, the mere appearance of it and the trying of detainees in military courts was a giant bulletin board that would anger Muslims and help in their recruitment of terrorists. Knowing how Muslims view homosexuality, what pray tell do Obama and Holder think this will do?

Our military deserves respect, honor, and gratitude. It doesn’t deserve to be a football for political and sexual perversion.

Take action and share this!
