‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Prayer In Disguise – From ‘brother bill’

April 30, 2026

Like the White Witch in Narnia, who promised endless winter but delivered only deathly frost, Satan is a master of glittering illusions.  He offers what seems like light, freedom, and pleasure, yet it always turns to chains, darkness, and ruin.  God, by contrast, is the true Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea—steady, sovereign, and full of life.  What the devil parades as liberty is slavery; what he calls wisdom is folly.  The illusions are many, but the truth stands firmer than the Stone Table.

Illusion 1: Satan offers “freedom” without limits

He whispers that God’s commands are oppressive, that you can be your own god and do as you please.  Yet every soul who follows finds itself enslaved to sin, shame, and eventual despair.

God’s Reality:
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1 NKJV)
The Witch’s Turkish Delight looked sweet and cost nothing—until it cost everything. God’s boundaries are the walls that keep the wolves out.

Illusion 2: Satan offers “light” that blinds

He appears as an angel of light, promising secret knowledge, spiritual experiences, and enlightenment apart from Christ.  Many chase the glow and find only deeper darkness.God’s Reality:
“And no wonder!  For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14 NKJV)

“But if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded…” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4 NKJV)

Aslan’s roar brings true dawn. The Witch’s magic only creates false lights that flicker and die when morning comes.

Illusion 3: Satan offers “power” that corrupts and destroys
He dangles thrones, influence, and control—“All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”  Many trade their souls for a taste of dominion, only to become slaves or tyrants.

God’s Reality:
“Then Jesus said to him, ‘Away with you, Satan! For it is written, “You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.”’” (Matthew 4:10 NKJV)

True power belongs to the Lion who laid down His life.  Satan’s power always devours its possessor in the end.

Illusion 4: Satan offers “life” that leads to death

He promises fulfillment through pleasure, wealth, or self-realization, yet “the wages of sin is death.” His gifts come wrapped in gold but contain poison.

God’s Reality:
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 NKJV)

The White Witch turned living creatures to stone.  Aslan breathes life back into them.  Satan petrifies the soul; Christ resurrects it.

Illusion 5: Satan offers “peace” without the Prince of Peace
He sells superficial calm—through distraction, denial, or false unity—while the heart remains at war with God.

God’s Reality:
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27 NKJV)
The Witch’s winter was a frozen silence, not peace. Aslan’s return brings the deep magic of true reconciliation—winter melts, and life returns.

The Final Contrast
Satan is the great deceiver, the father of lies, whose every promise is a beautiful corpse dressed in finery.  God is the Author of all that is good, true, and beautiful—His every word is life and light.
Choose wisely, dear reader.  One path sparkles like Turkish Delight and ends in stone.  The other leads through the wardrobe, through sacrifice on the Stone Table, and into a kingdom where “further up and further in” means endless joy.

As C.S. Lewis might remind us: the safest road to hell is the gradual one—the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts. Satan’s illusions feel like home. God’s reality feels, at first, like a strange country… until you realize it is the country you were made for all along.

The Illusions of the Great Counterfeiter: Currency, Echo Chambers, and the Slow Frost
In the frozen land of Narnia under the White Witch, snow looked pure and eternal, yet it was death disguised as beauty.  So it is today. Satan, the father of lies, does not storm the gates with horns and fire.  He offers glittering counterfeits—promises that feel like progress, convenience, and belonging—while the true substance wastes away. Like Turkish Delight, the wide road is sweet at first bite, it enslaves the will.  God, the steady Lion, gives reality: honest weight, clear truth, and life that endures.  Where the deceiver multiplies illusions, the Creator upholds what is solid and whole.

Illusion 1: Counterfeit “Money” – Currency Created from Nothing
Satan whispers that value can be multiplied endlessly by clever systems.  Banks take a deposit and lend most of it out, creating new “money” on ledgers as if by magic.  This fractional reserve banking turns one real dollar of base money into many claims upon it. Fiat currency—paper or digital entries backed only by decree—replaces sound money (historically tied to gold’s honest scarcity).  It feels like prosperity: easy loans, booming spending, seeming wealth for all.  Yet it dilutes purchasing power through inflation, steals from savers quietly, and builds houses of debt that eventually tumble.  The illusion is abundance without cost; the reality is hidden theft and boom-bust cycles that punish the prudent. Then tax citizens on the so called capital gains that are illusionary federal counterfeits.

God’s Reality:
“You shall not have in your bag differing weights, a heavy and a light.  You shall not have in your house differing measures, a large and a small.  You shall have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure, that your days may be lengthened in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” (Deuteronomy 25:13-15 NKJV)

Honest scales reflect God’s character.  The Witch’s magic promised endless winter without hunger—until the food ran out and statues filled her courtyard. Sound money anchors trust; fractional illusions create phantom riches that vanish when confidence cracks.

Illusion 2: Bot Lies and Algorithmic Echo Chambers – Reinforced Half-Truths
On social media, the deceiver deploys armies of bots and clever algorithms.  Each click, like, and angry comment teaches the machine: “Show this soul more of what flatters their view.”  Left-leaning feeds grow more government left; right-leaning ones sharpen defenses rightward. Ideological comfort becomes a warm blanket of agreement.  Dissenting facts or whole-truth nuance are quietly filtered away.  People feel enlightened and righteous within their bubble, certain their tribe alone sees clearly.  Yet both sides drift farther from objective reality—the integrated truth that confronts bias and demands repentance.  Polarization deepens not by open debate, but by gentle reinforcement: a thousand small affirmations that harden the heart against correction. God said we the people are broken.  So, how can we make a system of government that’s not?

God’s Reality:
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32 NKJV)
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” (John 14:6 NKJV) Sooo are we free indeed?

Aslan’s voice called across divides and melted winter with one roar.  The Witch’s spies and spells kept Narnians isolated in fear or false loyalty.  Satan’s AI digital winter fragments society into echo chambers where each person hears only the flattering lie tailored to their itch: “Telling us we are right.  They are the enemy.  No need to question further.”

The Gradual Slope
.  These illusions work best together.  Phantom currency funds endless distraction and targeted ads.  Social media bots and algorithms keep eyes glued, emotions high, and minds closed—reinforcing whatever ideology keeps the user scrolling and the system profitable.  No dramatic fall is needed.   As Lewis warned, the safest road to hell is the gradual one: soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without signposts.  A little more debt, a little more curated news, a little more certainty that “my side” alone holds wisdom.  The soul grows comfortable in illusion until reality—judgment, economic reckoning, or spiritual awakening—breaks in like spring.

The Lion’s Counter
Christ offers no counterfeit.  His kingdom rests on truth that liberates rather than flatters, on honest weights rather than multiplied claims, and on a Church called to speak whole counsel rather than tribal slogans.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 NKJV)

Satan turns gold into glitter and debate into echo.  The Lion breathes on stone and restores breathing creatures to full, integrated life—able to weigh honestly, seek truth across divides, and walk in liberty that is not license.

Further up and further in, reader.  Step out of the wide road of curated snow to God’s narrow road to life.  The real dawn costs comfort at first, but it ends in a kingdom where winter is banished and every scale is just.

So, as you can see life in God’s spirit is predictably unpredictable as Oswald says next.  However the great adventure is custom made for you to be perfect.holy and righteous because he is.  Enjoy the transformation with the trinity.

Blessings brother bill/dad
