Satanic Accomplishments by Robert Socha
The Democratic Party is on a roll. In spite of our Governor’s tyrannical bungling of her COVID response, they miraculously, unexpectedly, for the first time in 40 years, control every aspect of the state of Michigan’s government from the Governorship to the Secretary of State to both houses in Michigan’s Congress. And they are using this power to push a radical agenda and set the great state of Michigan back to its mid-‘80s heyday.
Here are some of their accomplishments since swearing in on January 11, 2023: Michigan’s 1931 abortion law, banning the practice, repealed; civil rights laws expanded to gender orientation and sexual orientation, without a religious exemption; gun control passed the House; Michigan’s Right-to-Work law repealed requiring unionization if the company submits to their power; and government funded battery plants bringing a $3.5B investment in southern Michigan also bring Chinese companies into the state. Quite the accomplishment in less than 90 days!
Meanwhile, the Republican party in the state is fighting amongst itself in multiple counties, and at the state level, trying to define who is the most conservative and forcibly pushing out anyone deemed a RINO creating a legal nightmare. Like it or not, the consequence of such tomfoolery is big money donors step back, and the party suffers a humiliating defeat emboldening their political opposition. The 247-year slide to despotism accelerated at an alarming rate.
Michigan is a microcosm of the national political scene. The Democratic party operates on a unified front when they have power. The Republican party flounders with petty infighting and division. I cannot imagine there is tremendous privately held pride throughout the Democratic ranks for the current man in the White House. Still, I have not seen much, if any, opposition on their side to the executive’s execution of laws. On the other hand, the previous administration had a plethora of internal opposition, handicapping a tremendous opportunity, especially in the first two years.
It is high time for those who cherish the self-evident truths to have a vision outlasting themselves. Let us look to 2150 and see what we might accomplish by then. We must be bold in our opposition to these nonsensical laws plaguing the nation. For example, vocal opposition to expanding civil rights to include a person’s mental state is necessary for religious freedom. Our culture is becoming increasingly intolerant of constitutionally protected ideas, the acceptance of which precipitates a cultural spiral to debauchery.
Regan said, “The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and ally – not a 20 percent traitor.” As we look ahead to elections in ‘24 and beyond, those who cherish personal responsibility and limited government would do well to remember this and work together in opposition to the demonic influence peddling the most egregious offenses to nature and nature’s God in our country’s conscience and culture.
“For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” 2 Timothy 4 verse 3-4
We have been in cultural decline for three generations. It is the natural tendency for wealth to create a weak-willed populace who can be manipulated and controlled for political gain leading to the culture’s destruction. Borrowing Victor Davis Hansen’s closing remarks from this column: “The Byzantines never woke up in time to understand what they had become. So far, neither have Americans.”
