‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Tell Boehner We Want Action Not Theater

July 11, 2012

You may have thought Kabuki Theater was a type of Japanese drama based on their popular legends characterized by elaborate, ornate costumes and stylized acting by male actors. But it in reality has become the Republican leadership in Congress headed by John Boehner.

I’m not going to take time to enumerate Boehner’s failings as Speaker of the House. He may put up a good golf score in his not so infrequent golf outings with Obama, but it’s his score in taking the people’s business that concerns me.

The House is prepared to vote to repeal Obamacare. It will be the 31st such vote since the demonstrably unpopular socialist bill was rammed down our throats. Obamacare is the most opposed piece of legislation Obama has pushed through–60 percent of the nation opposes it and 83 percent of all doctors say they are considering leaving medical practice specifically because of this legislation.

There is no need to dance around with this hated legislation. There isn’t a snowball’s chance in the desert of the attempt to repeal the Bill passing when it hits the Senate. I believe the correct move is to defund it. Then work to gain a super majority in the Senate and gain more seats in the House this November. Armed with a super majority in the Senate and a substantial majority in the House, Obamcare can be successfully repealed.

The House Republicans should flood the airwaves with Obama saying, “the healthcare mandate is not a tax.” They should run ads using Obama’s criticizing others for exactly what he is doing now. Those clips should be as prevalent on internet ads as Obama’s arrogant wife’s ads telling people to support her husband.

They should point out that Obama is as committed to raising taxes as Satan is to sin. Republicans should be flooding the airwaves with the fact that Obama is going to almost double the death tax. In the coming months all estates valued at $1 million aggregate will be taxed at 55 percent. At the present time all estates valued at $5 million or more are taxed at 35 percent. Why haven’t the Republicans brought this punitive tax increase to the people as something we should fight against?

The Republicans should blanket the nation with simple, easy-to-read and understand, single page notices clearly delineating the lies Obama, and Democrats like Pelosi, told about what the Bill would and would not do. Obama cannot run from his own words, but he doesn’t have to if they aren’t known to everyone.

This should be a full frontal assault. Sixty-percent of We the People oppose Obamacare. Eighty-three percent of doctors are considering leaving the healthcare profession because of it. It will cost close to another million jobs as the true unemployment number is above 14 percent. Obama said healthcare would save money when we now know that at the very least it will increase spending another $1.2 trillion over 10 years. That means Obama will be out of office, raking in millions of dollars in speaking fees, and his wife will be spending like a drunken ghetto queen, as We the People suffer more lost jobs and increased debt. If the debt load is unsustainable now, what will it be then?

Small business confidence in the economy has decreased 91.4 percent over June a year ago. Republicans need to drive home the point that the difference between Obamacare and Romney’s healthcare when he was governor is that it was a state decision not a national mandate. It is the prerogative of a state to enact such decisions; it is not the Constitutional right of Obama to make said decision for the nation.

Republicans have the will of We the People to make Obamacare a thing of the past and to defeat Obama. But they are more interested in theatrical performance than they are in holding daily townhall meetings–laying out in detail the plain truth of Obamacare.

There has seldom been an opportunity handed to a more vapid and feckless group. For goodness sakes, the Keystone Cops could get things done with this type of support. We the People cannot allow Boehner and company to waste this opportunity to correct Obama’s heinous Bill.

Depending on the poll, between 63-65 percent of the American people believe Obama is taking the country in the wrong direction. If Boehner and company cannot translate that into a victory for the people over a flawed Euro-Socialist healthcare program with an onerous tax as a penalty, what in the world can they use?

This is a battle for America, not Boehner’s tee time with Obama. If we want Kabuki Theater we’ll go to a Japanese theater. Tell Congress and every candidate that we are tired of their theatrics. Tell them we don’t want symbolic actions; we want action that is dedicated to bringing about meaningful results.

Take action and share this!
