The Blue Collar Billionaire v. The Manchurian Candidate by RoseAnn Salanitri
Most would agree that this has been a contentious campaign season, with two fundamentally different candidates vying for our votes. It is unfortunate that the major policy differences of these two men are seldom intelligently discussed while their personalities traits take center stage. So, let’s take a closer look at their character traits.
On the one hand you have the unpredictable, Donald Trump. Trump’s unfiltered and often brash expressions should be expected from the man justifiably labeled as the “Blue Collar Billionaire.” The political realm is not accustomed to his refreshing “what you see is what you get” worldview. His history among construction workers and their unpolished conversation has been undergirded by his unquestionable authority among them. Both these influences have had a profound effect on the 45th President’s personality. After all, the man who signs the paychecks has a right to set the rules, as we saw in his popular television series. What most fail to remember about the series is that he was also fair and compassionate – a trait overlooked by the left-wing media. It is this very unique history that has prepared him to be able to make the tough decisions, along with the experience about what makes the business and job world tick.
On the other hand, you have Joe Biden, who has the appearance of a well-polished politician, which hides his lack of true accomplishments and questionable abilities. After 47 years of public service, it is truly remarkable that his claims to fame are all fallible – and serve more as a liability than an asset – like the ill-conceived ObamaCare that promised we could keep our doctors and that we would save money in the process – none of which was true. Or the claim that the Obama/Biden administration handed Trump a great economy. This claim in spite of the fact that the unemployment rate in 2016 hit a high 10% (with it being substantially worse in Black and Hispanic communities), and the GNP in 2016 hitting a low of 1.6%. Under Trump’s pre-COVID administration, the unemployment rate fell to a low of 3.4% with the GNP rising annually to reach a 2019 high of 4.7%, according to the US Department of Commerce (numbers that Obama said were impossible to realize). So either Biden is substantially challenged mathematically or he is lying. But he looks good in front of the camera and has learned the political technique of dismiss and build (as has his running mate). His proficiency in this technique has enabled him to sidestep questions on important issues and switch the conversation to well-contrived lies that are often absurdly untrue. But, hey, when he looks directly into the camera and lies with a straight face, to the uneducated, he is convincing and appears to be trustworthy.
This leaves us with the obvious question: why would the Democrats place this unaccomplished political albatross in the fight for the highest seat in our political hierarchy? Could it be that the man is nothing more than a Manchurian candidate? The Cambridge Dictionary defines such a candidate like this: “A person who is not loyal to, or who harms, their own country or political party because they are under the control or influence of another country or party.”
The mentally-challenged Joe Biden may be more innocent in this political game than his puppet masters and in this regard may not totally fit the aforementioned definition. He may be nothing more than a unaware political pawn – more like the Frank Sinatra character in the original Manchurian Candidate motion picture. Therefore, we should be asking who is pulling the strings. While our gut reaction may be George Soros, and understandably so, I suspect the Speaker of the House to be a more realistic choice. Here’s why.
Speaker Pelosi is currently embarking on a plan to enact the 25th Amendment that would facilitate the removal of a sitting president if he or she dies or is removed from office due to an incompetency of some manner. Our first thoughts may be that she is planning on removing President Trump from office, should he win re-election. How this would be accomplished is frightening at every juncture. However, another alternative is more frightening. Pelosi may be doing all within her power to have Biden elected, and once elected, having him easily declared mentally incompetent and removed from office. This would leave Kamala Harris to occupy the office of the President – and
Speaker of the House, Pelosi, to occupy the office of Vice President. If you haven’t mentally processed that, read it again. A Joe Biden presidency could result in the execution of the 25th Amendment (which Pelosi is already salivating over), leaving Kamala Harris to serve as his successor and Nancy Pelosi to serve as Vice President. If that doesn’t scare you, nothing I can say can appeal to any modicum of common sense you may have left.
Many of us thought a Hillary Clinton presidency would have been detrimental to the survival of this liberty-loving country, and it would have been. But a Kamala Harris/Nancy Pelosi administration would be horrifically beyond my ability to imagine. Therefore, I admonish you to vote and pray as if your life depended upon it, because your life as a free and liberty-loving American does. May our Good Lord and Savior go before us and grant us peaceful lives where the free can live without fear of government intrusion, and the brave can preserve their strengths to fight another day.
