The False Prophet by RoseAnn Salanitri
Prophecy watchers have focused much attention on the identity of the anti-Christ all throughout history. However, the anti-Christ is only one branch of an end times unholy trinity that seeks to emulate – and usurp – the Godhead. It will consist of the False Prophet, the anti-Christ, and the Beast. There has been much speculation about these three, with political leaders of all ages being suspect. However, the False Prophet is of a slightly different nature. Yes, he will be a powerful political operative, but he will also be known as a well-respected spiritual leader who gives power to the anti-Christ and the Beast, requiring all to worship the Beast (Rev. 13). Based on his religious credentials, it is reasonable to assume that he sets the ground work for the seven-year peace treaty between Israel and the Arab nations, which the prophet Daniel wrote about. We also know that he will seek to implement a one world religion, as well as a one world government.
While every age has its opinions about this unholy trinity, much Scripture has been devoted to revealing the events surrounding their rise to power. Considering the events transpiring in this century, we should take a closer look at their characteristics and the signs of the times within which they exist (see Daniel 7). This writing will concentrate on the character and nature of the False Prophet, whom I suspect will be the first of the unholy trinity that we will be able to identify, since he empowers the anti-Christ. He also will be interested in forming a global government, which he will do with lamb-like altruistic-sounding rhetoric. For without a global government, the power of these three will be compromised and incomplete.
Therefore, the question should be how will he convince the majority of the populace to surrender their national autonomy to a globally centralized government. Let’s take a moment or two to ponder this question.
Perhaps he will use climate change to unite people of the earth, claiming that we are citizens of a “common home” and thus have the responsibility of working together to protect this common home. But he will be clever enough to realize that even his most persuasive arguments will not render the success he craves without sufficient tactics. Therefore, he would devise a cunning plan that might using Hitler’s Youth Camps as his model – realizing that indoctrination of the youth has the potential to produce lock-in-step globalists. To this end, he might piggy-back Hillary Clinton’s philosophy that it takes a village to raise a child, supplanting the biblical admonition directed to parents with a global community. Since the halls of academia have proven to be effective philosophical grounds that have turned students away from the Word of God, turning them against their parents should be a reachable goal.
Perhaps he would seek to establish a new universal solidarity and a new humanism that abolishes sexual discrimination by redefining sin through preaching that sin is only sin if it is something that offends your conscience – regardless of what the Word of God may say.
Perhaps he would seek to abolish national patriotism in order to create a global patriotic movement by arguing that nationalism has fragmented the unity of the globe, negatively affecting our universal goal of peace and security. Along these lines, he would argue that the road to peace can be accomplished by establishing a common economic system, a common educational system, and a common governmental system to replace our fragmented national systems.
Perhaps he would build relationships with the most prominent Imams and religious leaders of other sects in order to facilitate the execution of a seven-year peace plan with Israel in fulfillment of prophecy. In order to accomplish such a religious system he would have to condemn biblical fundamentalism, which establishes principles of right and wrong.
In order to accomplish these progressive goals, he would seek to organize a summit of world leaders, popular celebrities, and anyone with influence – and of course the United Nations and the mainstream media would be enamored with his endeavors and act as his propaganda machines.
And this would be only a fraction of what we could imagine this man would do. Unfortunately, we don’t have to imagine anything. Pope Frances’ September 12, 2019 speech set forth many the above agenda items, as well as calling for an educational alliance to convene on May 14, 2020 in Rome inviting “the great ones of the earth” to attend (see Rev. 18:23) and implement his tactics through the signing of a global pact. He has in the past also redefined sin, and at his November 18th speech in Argentina , entitled “Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” he condemned fundamentalism, specifically citing the sins of Christian fundamentalists (see http://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/speeches/2019/november/documents/papa-francesco_20191118_dialogo-interreligioso-argentina.html). It should be noted here that the crimes against humanity done in the name of Christ are not supported by the Scriptures. Therefore, the actions of those misguided tyrants cannot be classified as “fundamentalism” simply because nowhere in the New Testament can such atrocities be defended, whereas the Koran (which he side-stepped) does support the atrocity of killing infidels – or those that do not submit to Islamic beliefs.
He ended his November speech with the following:
“…And let us try, with fraternity, to go forward. Fundamentalism is a scourge and all religions have some kind of fundamentalist first cousin there, which forms a group.
I hope that this Message of Fraternity will be received by the international community, for the good of the whole human family, which must move from simple tolerance to true coexistence and peaceful coexistence. Keep up the good work…”
It seems right and wrong carry no weight with this man. With him, only fraternal unity matters – just as you would expect from the False Prophet. As this, along with other prophecies, are being fulfilled before our very eyes, be sure you are right with God – and stand with Him and Him alone. For as Patrick Henry once said, “…the battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave…” We may not be at the point where we need to choose between liberty and death, but we are in the crosshairs of an intense spiritual battle that has been raging since the beginning of time. For those of us who are committed and devoted to our Almighty God, the time to stand strong and the time to pray fervently and without ceasing is upon us.
