‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

The Popular False Message vs. God’s Word – Sunday Thought For The Day

A false prophet is a person, who in God’s name teaches/preaches what is false.  We live in a day and age of a proliferation “false prophets.”  They are more popular today, than ice cold Kool-Aid on a hot summer day when I was growing up.

The false prophet is someone pretending to speak the word of the Lord (prophesy) but in fact is phony (an imposter), acting as a wolf in sheep’s clothing.  They specialize in “the art of misimpression,” e.g., like about how they were “commissioned” by the Lord to touch the world with their message.  When in fact, they operate by self and for self.

A chief reason for the rise of the false prophet is the unpopular character of the message of the true teachers who call the nation back to God.

The false prophet presents sin and disobedience packaged in blasphemous messages claiming sin, especially sexual sin is permissible.  The false prophets redefine the word of God to suit the lies they are preaching; e.g., the redefining sexual sin as love and that said acts are not sin.

We live in an entertainment age and many in the church have bought into it.  They go to church to be entertained juxtaposed to hear and learn the truth of God’s word and how to draw closer to God.

God’s word is not for entertainment value nor for worldly social value. It’s to lead us into righteousness.  However, righteousness and Godliness are often unpopular messages in today’s world.

Christians are called to make a difference based upon the word of God.  Let all who claim the name of Christ as born again Christians determine, we will draw closer to our Lord and live according to his word.  We do that by prayer, reading and studying the word of God and embracing it as absolute truth.  We do that by allowing the Holy Spirit to illuminate the truth to us and by allowing Him to guide in same.

We don’t do it by embracing the corrupt messages of false teachers who are so popular today.

Matthew 7:15-20 (KJV)

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
