‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

The Sects of the Church of Wokeness by Rich Kozlovich

The following was written by my friend and colleague Rich Kozlovich, founder and publisher of the blog: Paradigms and Demographics.  It was originally published May 17, 2022.  It is a brilliantly written statement of fact.

Here’s a list, probably not the definitive list by any means, of movements that I’ve seen bandied about some for years, and some only recently, but timing isn’t really the issue here.

  • CSR, Corporate Social Responsibility
  • DEI, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion
  • ESG, Environment, Social, Governance,
  • CR, Corporate Responsibility,
  •  CA, Corporate Accountability
  •  CSV, Creating Shared Value
  • CRT, Critical Race Theory
  • And the biggest daddy of them all:  Sustainability and sustainable development, because embracing sustainability embraces the concept of incorporating each and every social and environmental issue embraced by left wing activists in existence.  Sustainability is the most singularly important religious tenet of the Church of Wokeness in it’s purest form.

Paraphrasing Victor Davis Hanson, all these movements support “bankrupt dogmas, and a crackpot ideology that destroys free expression, ruins meritocracy and ensured unequal application of the laws—and so paved the way for far worse, an absolute a poison to civilization.”

And who knows what will be next.  In large part these terms are pretty much interchangeable with minor differences that are immaterial to their intent and goals.  Mostly, because all their terms are largely indefinable, and deliberately so – that way they  can be defined and redefined over and over again to embrace the latest narrative of the moment.

However, we have to understand, all these terms that have a super glue that binds them together. What is that glue?  First, in order to discover that adhesive, we need clarity, and clarity follows definition. We have to find an actual definition that explains their “raison d’ê·tre”, the most important reason and purpose for their existence.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been around for decades, and is the perverted step child of philanthropy, and as far as I can tell, CSR is the modern foundation for all the rest of these movements.

Call it CSR or any of the rest of those groups I’ve listed. These movements are just as fascism and communism are two sides of the same coin, socialism, they’re all part of a multi-sided structure meant to turn control of corporations, and their profits, over to leftist activists who wish to use corporate profits to fund the promotion of unwholesome social paradigms on humanity.

Recently Exxon Mobile was going to build a four hundred million dollar refinery, and that’s a good thing, but they’re also going to invest billions into an absolute loser.  Green energy production.  Why?  Leftist environmental groups have bought a lot of stock in that company, along with Chevron, which is facing the same battle, and they’re irrationally pushing these companies to “go green”.  I sold my stock in both now while they were at a high.

On Mar 08, 2022 Stephen Moore posted this piece, Free Market Capitalism Is Under Siege – From Capitalists, noting:

We live in a strange world. John D. Rockefeller, the founder of Standard Oil, helped provide the energy that powered the American century beginning in the early 1900s. Today, his grandchildren spend the billions of dollars that he donated to the Rockefeller Foundation to attack the same oil and gas industry that he almost single-handedly built. Likewise, Henry Ford’s trust, the Ford Foundation, now spends millions of dollars on climate change — as if the automobile was a sinister invention.

All these movements have come together to form the Church of Wokeness.

Once again paraphrasing Victor Davis Hanson:

Wokeism Is a cruel and dangerous cultthe Jacobins, and Marxism with a twist, which invites comparisons to the Salem witch trials and McCarthyism.  He goes on to note that equity in our Orwellian world is not equality, but payback. Again, it is the idea of making the current generation pay for the supposed sins of the long dead of centuries past……In sum, wokeness is not about kindness, equality, fairness, or morality.   It is the power agenda of the elite of all races. For differing reasons, they rig the game in their own interests, without a care about who suffers.
