‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

We Are Ambassadors For Christ – Sunday Thought For The Day

I admit that I’m a provocateur; but, I’m a provocateur for Jesus.  Let me explain.  The word provocateur is French in origin and it means to provoke; such as an undercover police officer or a political operative, whose job is to incite people to break the law so that they can be arrested.  My usage of the word is to provoke or incite people to initiate verbal interaction, so I can tell them about Jesus.  Here’s an example.

I had several Tee-shirts made, among them one of which says: “Abortion is not a choice.  It’s murder.” And another that says: “If Black lives matter; END ABORTION.”  I wore the first one out Saturday afternoon.

While in a grocery store, a woman smiled and said: “I agree with your shirt.”  A conversation followed.  It turned out that she is a Christian.  I shared with her that the Tee-shirt allowed me to share Christ with some, praise God with others, encourage those such as herself and to share the Word of God with others.

The woman and I spoke for perhaps 15 minutes or so.  In that time I shared that God has not given us a spirit of fear.  She thanked me for being an encouragement to her.  She shared that she didn’t speak up at her place of employment or other places out of fear, but my words were liberating to her.

My friends, Romans 1:16 speaks for me: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (KJV)

We cannot reach the loss nor encourage the fearful if we do not stand up for Christ.  We must look for ways and opportunities to share Christ to a degenerate world and too the discouraged.  We must be the iron that sharpens the other Christians who fatigued or fearful.

2 Corinthians 5:18-21 (KJV)

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
