We Are Not Helpless
Tea Party people, America is our home, we pay the bills for its upkeep, its repairs, and for whatever remodeling needs it may have. We are responsible for putting food on the table of millions of people here and hundreds of millions of people around the world. We shoulder the medical expenses for those who are unable to provide same for themselves. We pay for people to be educated and our ancestors and current family members fought/fight for the rights and privileges of our citizenry and the freedom of people around the world.
And yet when it comes down to standing up and defending ourselves against the very things we do for others, people are fearful. The very people who fight tyranny in other countries and who fought against injustice here, will roll over and curl up in a fetal position, moaning don’t hurt me. We can spot a crooked salesman on the other side of town, and yet, people trust their all to politicians and political parties with proven track records of failure and dishonesty.
For decades people will send the same worthless political hack back to office expecting him/her to do something different. But these same people will surrender all further initiative to get involved, based on a phone call that went unanswered or a letter that wasn’t responded to. Or even worse, many people are afraid of being called a name.
People have bought the wrong version of government and politics. People complain, but they refuse to acknowledge their culpability and responsibility for what this nation has become. People claim they want their country back and they claim to be praying for God to intervene. But what they won’t admit is that what they are really saying is they envision going to bed one evening and awaking the next day to their version of utopia.
I personally believe that the zeitgeist which people claim they want is akin to the vision of Santa’s workshop in the mind of a child. People are loathe to trust a taxi driver or plumber, but they will send money and chant the mantra of whatever the party hierarchy tells them to. The other day, a person told me they were too busy to pay attention to the news, some weeks ago another person told they didn’t trust any politician, so they were just going to wait and vote for whoever got the nomination. I’m not making it up, I could share even more bizarre comments people have made.
We are in a war, and people who claim to care need to understand that. We are in a war with politicians fighting to retain and/or regain their political ground, and they are not about to rollover and surrender their personal gains to the citizenry. We have got to realize that the party hierarchy will lie, obfuscate, mislead, and resort to any method necessary to keep their positions and their rule over us.
For the last 15 years, I have been one of those shouting wake-up and standup. I’ve said that the only thing we are to politicians is money and votes. I urged people to withhold both until the pols started listening to us. But with every election came the lies and scare tactics of party hierarchy, and each time, people fell for it.
The problem is that our enemies are fierce and relentless. They give their money, and their party and candidates do as they are told. The Alinskyites, the progeny of Margaret Sanger, the various alphabet racial groups, ad nauseum, understand their mission. They are in lockstep with their leadership and willing to shout down whoever of their ilk doesn’t go along with them.
We cannot trust the media, and we darn sure cannot trust the Republican Party in its current incarnation. Democrats were not alone in the abrogation of our Constitutional rights. Democrats alone are not responsible for the spending spree that led us to Obama. Democrats alone are not responsible for abortion on demand, homosexual marriage, race-based discrimination (i.e., affirmative action), and government healthcare. Democrats are not singularly responsible for the EPA, the Department of Energy, and the Department of Education. Not only did they have the help of Republicans, but they had the help of many Republicans now in office, who are vying for our support.
It is time that we awaken to the threat that confronts us, and respond in kind. We must resist and refuse to be led by a handful of corrupt individuals who have managed to subvert the greatest political system in history. We are not helpless and it’s time we stop behaving as though we are.
The reason Karl Rove hates the Tea Party movement is that we are a direct threat to business as usual for him and his cohorts. The reason Obama and Pelosi talk down to us and belittle us is that they understand if we ever coalesce we will be an unstoppable force. That said, the reason politicians want to get involved with us is that they see the opportunity to subvert our effort and undermine the true will of the people.
Time is running out, the election is just around the corner. And if the Lord should tarry, it is up to us to send the message that we may not win everything this time around – but that this is a summer of change and that change has begun in the hearts, minds, and souls of We the People. We must send the message that we will not turn back. We must send the message that we fear God not them.
