‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Fear of Losing Guarantees Defeat

January 3, 2012

I will not vote for nor support Romney if, as it appears, the fix for him to win the Republican nomination holds up. I don’t care if it means four more years of Obama. I’m sure that point of view has caused some of you to run for the Bayer Aspirin, because of the piercing pain you are now experiencing in the center-left side of your chest.

At this juncture Obama is not the enemy, as such. I know, that by now some one near you is scrambling for a defibrillator to jump start your heart. I’ll explain momentarily but a few other things first. Some will argue we’ve got to get Obama out at all costs, others argue that we won’t survive four more years of Obama, others say they will support whoever runs against Obama.

The mindset of anybody but Obama, sounds a lot like the anybody but Bush mantra. That mindset had a lot to do with not only making Obama attractive to voters, but having them abandon common sense and dismiss his total absence of experience – which in so doing, ultimately got him elected. Per our not surviving another four years of Obama, here again, irrespective of how “Pharaoh tutank-rah-o-bama” views himself, he is not God. I don’t fear him, I am however wary of the reverse apoplexy that got him elected. With that said, I am firmly committed to the belief that God’s timetable is not effected by Obama.

The idea of voting for the person a poll claims has the best chance of beating Obama is not how I’m going to make my choice. My choice is based on who I believe is most capable of leading.

THe true enemy of the people are the shadowy wraiths who have manipulated the race and sabotaged good candidates, while remaining secreted on the sidelines. That said we cannot continue to let this type of Erebusic skullduggery take place and then reward it, with what it was after all the time. I wouldn’t vote or support Romney if he won legitimately, and yes I am acknowledging what “inside the beltway” and party hierarchy already knows – and that is that Romney is going to get the nomination.

I’m not afraid to lose, I am concerned about compounding bad with worst. How can Romney be worst? Glad you asked. First of all, there is nothing that convinces me Romney can lead a soup can to the garbage truck, much less straighten out the mess we are in. Secondly, Romney’s greatest gift is his ability to flip-flop and then flip again. He will say or do whatever it takes to get elected. He wants the White House because for him it is the brass ring, by which those heinous entities that are doing their all to ensure his nomination, will manipulate government and make a further mess of things. Romney isn’t going to do even a percentage of what he promises. And in my mind that he would compound things, makes him more dangerous – not that he will ever beat Obama for the presidency.

I argue that in the absence of viable presidential candidates, our focus should be on Congress. We should be focusing on ousting those who have repeatedly proven themselves to be feckless and inept. Or worse still, have proven themselves to be deaf to the will of the people. If we replace enough House and Senate members with solid conservative men and women, we can force the issue we want most. We can push impeachment of Obama and Holder. We can take the steps remove Napolitano.

You’re probably thinking that that can be done en masse if we replace Obama, and if you are, you’re right – it could be. But the question then becomes with what? The answer is that they would be replaced with the same old retreads and has-beens that made a mess of things before. Romney owes his soul to the party hierarchy they are all about recycling. Just as Bush wheeled out the tired old faces from the past, so too will Romney.

I want change and I understand we cannot have change by doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. Add to that, that political hacks are creatures of habit. Sabotaging solid conservative candidates that the people are behind, so as to advance tired old sots is what they do, because it works. They sabotage the candidate(s) we want, then have their media marionettes and apparatchiks makes claims that it’s a big tent, it was a hard fought race, everyone had a fair chance, now it’s time to come together and support the nominee the people wanted. They will make these claims with a straight face, expecting us to tuck our tails between our legs and fall in line.

C’mon, you’ve heard it before. They’ll say that it’s time to put our differences aside and work to get rid of Obama – and in the end Obama will crush Romney.

I refuse to play that game anymore. It is time the people wake up and stop being afraid. Being afraid to lose is guaranteeing defeat. Playing it safe is allowing others to make one of the most important decisions and privileges we have to be subverted. They will continue to destroy good candidates as long as we reward them by supporting those they wanted all time.

Voting is singularly important to me and I understand there are those of my peers who will disagree with me, because they are ideologues. I am not an ideologue. To many people suffered and shed their blood for me to be a blind ideologue. They fought so I could stand up and make reasoned decisions about how I am governed based on my freedom of choice.

Having party hierarchy use Machiavellian machinations to deny me that unfettered freedom of choice is no different in my mind, than it was when George Wallace blocked the polls. They’re both two sides of the same coin purposely effecting my Constitutional right to vote for the candidate of my choice.
