Boehner And Republicans Are Helping Obama Destroy America
We’ve become very adept at blaming Liberals for the state of the nation and the decline of our lives and freedoms–and why not? We have so-called Conservative politicians telling us that’s what we should believe.
I will be the first in line to justifiably condemn the bevy of Socialist-minded Democrats assaulting our freedoms. But truth is truth, and blaming Leftists as being singularly responsible for debt, deficits, entitlements, government intrusion, ad nauseum fails to take into account that Republicans are no less responsible. The Republicans are just as responsible, and just as guilty as the Leftists whose mission it is to, as Obama vowed just before he was elected, “fundamentally change America.”
Have We The People been betrayed and are not our traditions being subverted by Leftists? Of course. Has Obama led us to the very brink of collapse in his commitment to transmogrify our nation into something that would make Marx and Lenin proud? Absolutely, without question.
But Obama has had a committed group of electeds aiding and abetting his treasonous assault on our freedoms and it’s not ipse dixit when I say that. John Boehner, Mitch McConnell in the Senate, the RNC, and Karl Rove are as responsible for our decline as the Socialist Leftists and Barack Obama, if not more so. And I will tell you why.
Liken it this way: if your dog chews your furniture, people that care about their homes take steps to correct the dog’s behavior. If the dog decides to double down and start messing on the floor in addition to continuing to chew the furniture–depending on the temperament of the owner–the dog would find itself abandoned on the side of the road, chained to a box outside, in an animal shelter, or any number of other avenues (all much less humane for the rebellious animal). That said, responsible dog owners would have foreseen the potential for their new dog to be out of control and would have taken preemptive steps to avoid it or corrective steps the instant the dog became a problem.
That is exactly what the Republican leadership should have done. There was no question what kind of “ruler” Obama was going to be, or at least there shouldn’t have been. They should have known that McCain had as much chance of defeating Obama as an empty bottle did of talking. In the absence of that recognition, they should have been prepared to hold Obama in check by Constitutional constraint. But while this (Obama) dog chewed the furniture–it then began to mess the floor, because it felt like it.
That may be a raw analogy, but that is exactly what has happened and what is happening. Obama is a Marxist-Leninist and Republican leadership needs to acknowledge that because by not doing so they cannot prevent him from “fundamentally changing America.” The Republicans have shown no leadership to rein in the Marxist-Leninist juggernaut in office. They have capitulated to virtually his every command.
To say Boehner has been ineffective is like saying your feet will get wet if you walk in a creek. Boehner was ineffective in the debt-ceiling debate and the payroll-tax debate. The Republicans refused to use Obamacare as reason for change in Congress during the 2010 elections because they were afraid of how the media would portray them. So the Tea Party groups used it to bring about the most dramatic change in Congress in some seven decades. That led to Karl Rove attacking our efforts and then later being forced to apologize for his words (disingenuous though it was).
As I pointed out in yesterday’s Daily Rant, Boehner is doing all in his power to undermine the ousting of Eric Holder because he and the Republicans are more concerned what the media will say than they are committed to doing what is in the best interest of We The People.
Obama has committed any number of impeachable offenses and yet the Republicans do nothing. Obama is destroying our country and the Republicans haven’t done a thing to stop him. The illegal gun smuggling and illegal gun dealing reaches to Obama, Hillary Clinton in the State Department, and Eric Holder in the Department of Justice–but the Republicans did nothing and still do nothing. And please don’t fall for the idea that they’re holding hearings. Those hearings remind me more of Jimmy Carter dealing with the Ayatollah Khomeini than they do a realistic way to impeach and indict the three people who had to sign off on Fast and Furious. Obama has bragged in public here and in Mexico that he instructed Holder and the State Department to come up with the plan which we have come to know as Fast and Furious.
America is in a mess, but, if we are to be honest, we cannot blame it all on Obama; we must blame the Republicans as well. And I argue we must blame them more because to those who know what is right and do not do it, the offense is greater.
