‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

The USS Down The Toilet We Go: If We Don't Wake Up

April 8, 2014

The chairs are being arranged on the deck of the USS Down The Toilet We Go and too few are paying attention. The Titanic was a mighty ship believed to be invincible, but at the end of the day a captain who didn’t heed iceberg warnings, and false complacency pursuant to the ship’s revolutionary internal design lent itself to false security that led to one of the worst shipping disasters in history.

Thus it is about to become with our beloved country if we do not wake up. I had a long and in-depth conversation with a colleague on Capitol Hill last week. The topic was the 2014 off-year elections and the 2016 general election. My political “spider-sense,” if you will, had been tingling, and I wanted to either validate or invalidate my growing concerns.

I had reached out to my friend and colleague with one very specific question: “How do you see things shaping up in 2014 and 2016?”

Essentially, since shortly after the 2010 off-year elections, the Republican establishment under Karl Rove and Reince Priebus to mention two, had been hatcheting and sniping at the tea party people at every opportunity. In the past several months, the attacks had become publicly hostile to the point of Rove telling a group of fundraisers that Todd Aiken, R-MO should be murdered. But that was just foreplay for the attacks to come. John Boehner and Eric Cantor stealthily sabotaged efforts of concern to tea party people. Mitch McConnell ordered the blacklisting of any groups who in any way helped candidates tea party people supported. John Cornyn became the very public face of antagonism and disrespect to tea party people. Ted Cruz was savaged, Allen West was betrayed, and Herman Cain was sabotaged.

Karl Rove and Reince Priebus made it clear that no candidates would receive one dime of campaign funding/help unless that candidate had been approved by the Republican hierarchy. And finally the attacks on We the People, i.e., supporters of the tea party movement came directly and publicly under attack. Literally every day for months, Google updates for the Tea Party and Republican Party had derogatory headlines about tea party people. We were called racists, we were called stupid and uneducated, we were called ignorant, and we were attacked with other pejoratives.

Then something caught my attention, and that’s when I contacted my friend. Suddenly over the span of a week the visceral attacks and threats to the campaigns of Tea Party candidates subsided. The harsh attacks by the Republican establishment and Republican Congressional members seemingly ceased overnight. My friend confirmed that I was right pursuant to my reasoning. The harsh rhetoric directed at tea party people by Republicans ceased to be public immediately after a secret-private meeting on Capitol Hill attended by the upper echelon of the Republican Party, including Boehner. When that meeting adjourned so did the harsh vitriol directed at tea party people by Republicans.

If my colleague and I are right, the scenario will be something along these lines. A determination was made that despite their best efforts, the math showed Republicans cannot win the White House in 2016 without tea party people support. And one way to ensure our support is to not undermine our efforts to elect true conservative candidates in 2014 — at least not do it as glaringly transpicuous as they had.

The thought, if we’re right, is that by not overtly obstructing our efforts in 2014 off-year elections, we’ll be more obliging to help them secure their candidate for the White House in 2016. They are counting on being able to marginalize or buy off any candidates and/or Congressional members between now and 2016. But my colleague had another suspicion that warrants paying close attention.

I have been on record since 2009 that steps were being ordered to ensure Jeb Bush wins the White House in 2016. And just last week came public word that Bush would make his plans known by the end of 2014. I postulate that by waiting until after the 2014 elections, Bush will not be placed in the situation of not backing candidates tea party people are supporting.

My colleague also theorizes that steps are being taken to implant Mitt Romney as the next Fed Chair. If things play out as we both believe they will, Jeb Bush in the White House with Romney as Fed Chair would give Rove, et al. virtually unlimited power. They would be able to make or break whomever they chose.

But, if we’re right about the tenor of the recent secretive meeting, Rove and company have reached the conclusion they need us to make it happen. Rove may have raised large amounts of money from corporate donors, but monies to the GOP as a whole are well below what is needed because We the People have stopped sending them our money.

The bottom line is that Rove and company despise us, but they understand they cannot win (or at the very least it will be a Herculean effort) without us. As I shared many times, an unimpeachable source told me that Rove openly lamented he was forced to use Christian conservatives to get Bush reelected in 2006. Rove and his camorra will stop at nothing to ensure Jeb Bush is in the White House in 2016.

For his part he is now indicating he will make his announcement before year’s end pursuant to his plans for office. Adding to that, Bush also said that some immigrants enter the United States illegally as an “act of love” for their families. To which I say, if they come here illegally they are not immigrants they are illegal aliens. And tangential to that, people rob banks and sell drugs on street corners because they love their families; but that doesn’t forgive the penalty for their crimes.

The last thing we need in the White House with so much at stake, not least of which is that the next president will have the opportunity to alter the SCOTUS for decades to come, is another big spending, big government, globalist, amnesty proponent with quasi-socialist leanings named Bush.

Stay tuned. I will keep you informed.
