People still don’t get it.
It’s not George Soros, the oft-referenced Bilderberger Group, the Rockefellers, Wall Street bankers, or some other shadowy group that is destroying our beloved country. Obama, and especially his arrogant, racist, harridan wife, may be the very personification and embodiment of all that is Erebus, but it’s not them either–they are simply the logical result of the true cause.
So who is it that is destroying our country? It is us. It is we the American people. How can that be, you ask? It doesn’t take a novella to explain; it happened because we allowed and encouraged it.
We the People, nearly a century ago, surrendered our right to think for ourselves. And we have continued on the path of blissfully abrogating same not unlike frogs in a pot of cold water on the stove. And now, not unlike the frogs, we are awakening to the fact that we are cooked.
We allowed evil and nefarious men to convince us that (based solely upon our electing them to public office) they suddenly became smarter and more knowing than us. We allowed our institutions, of higher learning, most of which were founded as religious learning institutions to be transmogrified into bastions of Marxist agitprop and indoctrination.
We allowed ourselves to succumb to inculcated divisiveness of race conscientiousness and racial identity. We ignored the divisive language used to segregate us. We allowed guilt and ad hominem attacks to silence us and we allowed for the extolling to levels of spokespersons those who used same as bludgeons to silence us.
We foolishly transposed the breaking of our sovereign laws for the wrongful idea of tolerance. Out of fear that we would be viewed as xenophobic, we allowed the open practice of the debaucherous behavior–even to the sodomizing of our children–under the umbrella of evil groups such as NAMBLA. We exchanged the meaning of murder and supported it as the idea of a choice.
We accepted the diabolical dictates of a president who introduced socialism on a scale heretofore unwitnessed because he promised us government care. We allowed the destruction of our nuclear family because another president promised us a “Great Society.” And we allowed perhaps the most malevolent, mendacious, narcissistic, Marxist-Leninist person in our history to be elected president because of his Barmecidal promises.
I could go on, but, suffice it to say, the zeitgeist of depravity and the anti-Constitutional environment we find ourselves in today are of our own making. We have blindly allowed socialism to undermine our American individualism and Constitutional rights by refusing to acknowledge it for what it is.
It is easy to blame politicians, schools, etc., but in the final analysis we are to blame. And now, as we stand on the precipice of decline, we blame Obama for our plight. In truth, he is simply the logical outcome of the growth of evil and in his capacity as same he has exacerbated the decline of our once great and unparalleled society. How could we not expect that one such as him would not one day rise to do us potentially irrevocable harm?
We allowed and encouraged our own decline because we bought into the belief of something for nothing. We bought into the unconstitutional heterodoxy that government was our provider. We traded true independence for the belief that those in government knew what was best for us. Even though government has a substantial and transpicuous record of failure pursuant to same.
To a greater or lesser extent practically every government institution is represented by evil, socialist-minded men whose true motivation is to place us under government control while they personally benefit in ways beyond our willingness to understand and/or believe. And still we look to them to think, act, and reason for us.
We continue to accept the words of the media–conservative or otherwise–as the words of truth juxtaposed to the opinion of those placing the words in their mouths. The most recent being, whether or not illegal aliens should be allowed to flagrantly break our sovereign laws, and the idea that government is better able to handle medical/healthcare than the free market.
People should be afraid, but not of government as such; rather we should be afraid of ourselves for allowing the destruction of our great nation vis-a`-vis our belief that modernity is achieved through surrender.
We can no longer afford to weigh upon others to do that which we as individuals should be doing. Vile politicians, and a government that is out of control, operate as such because we have given them license to do so. It is time for us to stop wringing our hands and reclaim that which is rightfully our own. But that can only be done if we refuse to let them talk down to us and when we stop electing political types who believe government is the answer even if they sublimely claim to be of a different mindset. And we must stop rewarding failures and betrayals with reelection.
The hands on the clock of our demise are approaching the end–it is up to us to work to push the boulder of Sisyphus back up the hill one more time. Crying to God while doing the same thing that has led us to this brink is not the answer. Crying to God and confessing we are where we are because we have abandoned Him and His precepts is.

Thanks for giving your ideas. I might also like to convey that video games have been actually evolving. Technology advances and innovative developments have helped create sensible and active games. These kinds of entertainment video games were not really sensible when the real concept was first of all being used. Just like other designs of technological innovation, video games way too have had to progress via many decades. This itself is testimony towards the fast growth of video games.
I am sharing this on facebook. Thank you
ada: thk you much…
It seems to me that all of this began when the mainstream media in this country decided to see if they could convince the public that George Bush and Dick Cheney were evil men. They hoped that Americans would forget all that went on regarding Iraq and Saddam Hussein; all of the U.N. resolutions against that horrible regime and it’s weapons of mass destruction. How U.N. inspectors were either turned away or not allowed to see certain areas of Iraq. After months of frustration and Saddam’s arrogant nose thumbing at both the U.N. and the U.S.A. Our then government had enough and decided it would be best to go in and stop the production of WMD.
Many people thought and still think that weapons of mass destruction meant nuclear weapons. That was dead wrong. Saddam’s method of mass murder was chemical warfare. He had used deadly chemicals on his own people in the past.
I truly believe that Saddam, knowing that we would invade his country, decided to ship his chemical laboratories and deadly chemicals to Syria, or some other neighboring country. Then when we invaded and found no WMD, he would be the innocent victim and George W. Bush would be the idiotic villain.
Guess what? It worked!!! The mainstream media picked this up and set out to paint Bush and Cheney as devils in the White house. The gullible Americans, who conveniently forgot all that had gone on before in the whole world’s frustration with Saddam Hussein, were led to hate our president and his administration. Many Americans were ready to get a rope and hang Bush from the highest tree in the land. They still see him as a war criminal.
The upshot of all this was that the Democrats could’ve run a complete idiot for president and he would’ve won the election. “Anybody But Bush” was the mantra. The Republicans, seeing the frugality of even trying to win the election, picked their weakest candidate, John McCain, to go up against the glib, smooth teleprompter-reading Obama and he walked into the White House with no vetting and no credentials to be president,, or even dog catcher, of this great country.
The evil Saddam Hussein, our dishonest, left-leaning, liberal press, and easily led, liberal Democrats had won. And they will win again if we can’t outnumber them in November. This country has been terribly divided by the lies and cunning of our so-called “journalists” and others who seem to hate our country and all it stands for.
While forgiveness is next to Godliness, I’ll never forgive either of them. I guess I’ll just have to pray for forgiveness and hope he understans that I’m only human.
While all of this rant is cogent and clear, there is one thing we should all take home with us. If we dont’ lay claim to a problem, we can hardly be the solution to it. Simply accepting we have allowed our problem to become this, and it is our allowing, gives us the power and the authority to turn around and go back and go the other way.
We got here by looking at it as everyone else’s fault, and none of us taking it for action. We leave here by each taking responsibility for our condition, and each fixing the part we connect with.
We have a government which we allowed tell us to elect leaders, but doing so makes us no better off than when we had a government on the other side of an ocean.
When we elect representatives, we should keep them in office again, if they are good representing us, otherwise, we should simply put in a new person. We can choose to be leaders, but we have to be “an educated People”, and we can’t get that from schools.
We must read our founding documents, the commentary written by those same founders, so we fully understand and realise the whole of the meaning and purpose of the Constitution, so we can reference the Declaration, and use it to show how natural law is to be found, so we cannot be misled by someone telling us how, with the intent of lying, and misleading us.
We cannot rule our Nation if we don’t know how to be rulers, governors, Statesmen, and wise. We can be none of these things without putting our full faith in God, and believing in this Nation as relevant to God, and we important to him.

One more thing and then to the rack. This link will take you to a YouTube video of a group of Russian young adults and their “flash mob” public dance to “Putting on the Ritz”. It’s in my file of things to watch when I get down. It’s too good not to share with someone. It makes me want to dance.
With apologies to Mychal for hogging you blog.
http://www.youtube.com/embed/KgoapkOo4vg?rel=0
sumitch: you are not hogging the blog my friend…
Wakinyan, thanks. A bit of personal history, not especially appropriate for a blog of people I only know from their typing in here and a few that I’ve been able to establish a little closer relationship with via personal emails.
I spent the first 25 years of my life hiding behind being a nice guy and caving to just about anyone that confronted me. For the most part I was miserable (not that I didn’t have more than my share of good times). I finally decided that living the life of a wimp was no life. I’m not brave or anything special, but I swore that I’d never be pushed around or used again. I try not to carry that too far and be a complete SOB, and I know that I offend some and hurt others. It’s not my intent. But, like the song goes “To thyne ownself be true”.
I won’t say that I don’t have concerns about speaking my mind in here and, like you said, I’ll bet this place is being mined regulary and many of us may be being tracked all over the net and otherwise. I’m no threat to anyone. I’d be flattered to think that I cause those set on destroying this country concern. But I will have my say and if it costs me, so be it. In here I feel I’ve found many kindred spirits with the same fears and hopes that I have.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. “I love this nation with all it’s warts” and God will deal with me as he feels appropriate, but I’ll be able to look him in the eyes when he does.
This is too transparent for me to put in here, but you complimented me and I thank you.
sumitch: the obamanoids are following finding ways to attack the me and my blog…but we will not give the pleasure of my backing off or lifting my foot from the pedal…
To Sumitch, Marilyn, Cindy, and most others that post here, it is good to know there are many that see clearly and understand the on-going massive betrayal of our country. Not being afraid to speak your mind though we know Mychal’s Rant is being monitored by obaminabal’s goons, er, ‘ truth’ squads (what an ironic, poor joke of a name) is extremely important in our efforts to awaken the “Sleeping Tiger” Admiral Yamamoto foresaw after Pearl Harbor was attacked. I think and have to believe the tiger is beginning to rumble deep in its throat and hope it will become a roar with teeth bared and claws extended when it fully realizes the invasion of its domain and leaps to expel the invaders.
From Sumitch: “If it comes to it, let’s not forget that our Congress has betrayed us and leave them out of the comeupance. They swore an oath to us. If they do not stand up and follow their oath, they are just more lying traitors.”
I agree and would include most of the black robed “judges” that have been so willing to legislate from their life-time-appointed pinnacles and the directors of the various alphabet agencies that have worked so hard to build their own power structures and expand the federal juggernaut by intruding into every aspect of our lives.
wakinyan: well you have spoken…
Today is a dark day for the United States and tomorrow is likely to be even darker. The Supreme Court was the final word on the law as I understood it. Aparently not. I must have been asleep during most of my 25 year education. The President, who had joined other countrys in suing Arizona, today put in a hot line for illegal aliens (criminals) to call if they feel they are being mistreated. Add this to blocking the DHS files from Arizona that might help them identify who is an illegal alien and the illegal amnesty he granted to the illegal alien youth and it seems to me that the path this country is on is pretty clear. By the way, when did a youth become anyone under 29? I would have thought that under 18 might be the breaking line as most states recognize this as the age of majority. Silly me. Those under 18 can’t vote can they?
I don’t know what the lawyers will define as aiding and abetting criminals, but if these actons aren’t it, what is? Actually I don’t give a flip what the lawyers say. 95% of them can be bought off without too much trouble. My defination of aiding and abetting is the only one that counts to me. I’ve only heard Senator Kyl of Arizona speak up so far. If more don’t join him tomorrow and Congress doesn’t move for impeachment, there’s only going to be one way out for us that believe that in no way is the country becoming the nation our founding fathers envisioned and put in writing in the Constitution.
If it comes to it, let’s not forget that our Congress has betrayed us and leave them out of the comeupance. They swore an oath to us. If they do not stand up and follow their oath, they are just more lying traitors.
sumitch: we cannot forget what they have done nor what we have allowed them to do before we started waking up…
Your’re right, Mychal. We The People are guilty. While our Military Service Men and Women obeyed orders and thought they were protecting America and helping in foreign lands, evil managed to seep through the cracks to destroy this great country. It wasn’t one president or one congressman/lady, it was the people who thought they were electing the politicians who would never, ever, destroy The Constitution of The United States; People who attended Church and brought up their families to believe in God and to live by the Ten Commandments. As the years rolled by, the deception increased and Americans slept. I am an American and plead guilty. The current president has accomplished one thing since taking his seat in the Oval Office; Most Americans are finally Awake. God will Judge – not a government of shills or the UN or some foreign country, Only God. Through the Grace of God, we Americans will persevere and bring this wonderful country back to normalcy and be more astute before ever allowing anyone to hoodwink us again. I’m sure there will be others who will try to seep through the cracks to destroy The United States but we will be more attentive in the future. After America, there is no place to go.
marilyn: you are correct…that is one thing we can thank obama for…he has been bad to the point of waking up the people…
I see this country like someone with an in-grown toenail that hasn’t been attended to or doctored for quite some time. It’s now at the point where the entire toe is throbbing and pulsating with a raging infection. Cause of infection: our “educational” system, our public schools, our institutions of so-called higher learning…universities, colleges, etc., which are turning out drones in vast numbers and all with one mindset…that is to conform to standards set by Socialist, Far Left, Marxist Professors and Teachers. You are familiar with the Communist Manifesto and one of the ways to defeat a country, (from within) and bring it to its knees, is indoctrination through education. From kindergarten on and up children are now subjected to an agenda far different than when I went to school in the 40s and 50s. When I speak to children today and reminisce about growing up in the 40s, tell them about Woody Woodpecker cartoons they don’t have a clue or WWII (American History). Young children and teens cling to their cell phones, their I-Phones like they have been implanted. Children are being taught about homosexual lifestyles, (there is a point in which we find out about other lifestyles as we grow up but in elementary school????) Children are being cast into one group with no one being encouraged to excel and if they do, they are ostracized. The new norm are teachers raging against, making fun of children who are autistic or children who ask questions that don’t fall within a certain spectrum as the child who repeatedly questioned a teacher about something just recently (I can’t recall what but it was something political) and she screamed at him when he respectfully disagreed with her. The teacher is then “reprimanded” and moved to another school. There is a total lack of respect going on no matter in the United States Congress, in homes across the country or you name it. The President of the United States is lobbing salvo after salvo against our most precious liberties. The problem is, we invited him into our house (the White House) back in 2008. How do you “educate” a group of people, from all different backgrounds, religions, color, as to what the meaning of “character” is, what is the meaning of “patriotism”, what is the meaning of honor, and virtue and honesty and a life style based on moral and ethical values? The answer is you cannot unless it is first introduced into the home and encouraged as the child grows. We now have group(s) of individuals in this country who are emboldened because one of “theirs” has made it all the way to the Oval Office because the American voting bloc has been so dumbed down by schools, special interest groups, money, drugs and the fact that the only thing that matters is the color of your skin, not what’s in your heart, that this is where we find ourselves. In a total mess and getting worse. In my opinion, this President, along with his administration and many members of Congress (because they did not do due diligence in “vetting” this President before he was elected) are to blame for where we are now. And the news media in this country…well we might as well not have any as they did a grand job of covering up just who and what this guy was/is. But the main thing I’m trying to get across is that if you have a DUMBED DOWN ELECTORATE who vote for someone because he promises them something for free, or solely on the basis of HIS/HER COLOR, then we have a real problem of re-educating the American voter in this country.
cindy: you have spoken well…
You are so right Mychal. In the Bible it say’s ” the meek shall inherit the Earth”. Just who are the meek? Are they the ones who sit on their butts and let the Government hand everything to them? Are they the ones who can’t get off their knees and stop praying long enough to try and change things? Are they the ones who think God will see that they are better than anyone else because they pray? My God helps him that helps himself. If the meek inherit the Earth, it will be because brave people made it happen at the cost of their own lives. The Bible also say’s ” you reap what you sow”.
john: I believe God helps those who cannot help themselves as they strive to do so…
I read everything you type BigH2O. And most everyone else. At least when I can come in here and shoot off my big yap. I find more people of like mind in here than any group I can get around. I have great fun in here confabbing and learning. Sometimes I even change my mind about things.
I wasn’t trying to be sacrilegious; I guess I’m more the “God helps those that help themselves” type and I don’t think that he means praying and waiting to be saved. If praying gives one comfort and hope, it’s the best medicine to have. Or as Frank Sinatra supposedly said, “I don’t care if it’s a book, bottle or bible that gets you to sleep at night”. But God didn’t give us minds and self determination to sit in the street waiting for the storm troopers to come take us to the ovens.
The bible is full of God’s children (warriors) fighting for their survival, rights and religion. I think we are approaching the line where we’re going to have to prove we won’t stand for a government any less than what the Constitution and founding fathers gave us.
If we’re wrong in our selection of government, we have the way to change it although it may take years. But change at the end of a gun (or axe) isn’t my idea of government of, by and for the people.
I was raised by members of “The Greatest Generation” and they passed on to me the ideas and will that made them great. I have a responsibility and a duty to do no less than they.
sumitch: we must fight on the side of truth and justice…
@sumitch
U been reading all my mail? We connect. or at least I do with u. I wish M.M. was local here.
bigh2o: you folks should be closer to me here in florida…lol…
It’s going to take more than invoking the name of God to get us out of this mess. It’s going to take people that will get off their knees and on their feet and stand up to this lawless, criminal administration. Congress isn’t going to vote themselves term limits any more than they are going to vote out their automatic pay raises.
If it’s not already too late, those who can vote them out need to vote Boehner the “RINO” and “Droopy” Lieverman out of office. Droopy is another one of the politicians that changed parties so he could keep his cushy job and Boehner will sell out to Obama or anyone else that will cross his palm with 30 pieces of silver (maybe 15).
Like this rant says, “It’s our fault that we voted these shysters into office and keep voting them back in”. The only ones that can and will (maybe)do anything is us. Flood your email lists with evidence of the “spit in your face politicians” betrayals and if you lose friends, it’s no big loss nor are they our friends. They’re Judas goats waiting to come out on top and bury you deeper.
sumitch: ultimately we must put our feet down in the Jordan…that said we must do so prayerfully and w/ God as our shield and in His name…
Let us compare. YHWH teached for 3 1/2 years and taught grace.Obamageddon has been in office the same amount of time and has taught dependence of govt’mint.
We have been homogenized. How will we once again get the cream to rise?
sunny: by standing up and refusing to buy the lies and/or comply w/ them…
So true Mr. Massie. I pray every day not to despair. God wants our prayers to change us. God Bless.
jocelyn anderson: I agree…but after prayer we must trust Him to lead us…
You are so right, Mychal. I only hope and pray that we the people are more discerning this time around. Let the last 3 1/2 years speak for themselves. But there are still some dumb and dumber sorts out there who are convinced that Obama can do no wrong. God help us and have mercy on us. God bless you, Mychal for all your good work. Keep it up.
dorothea: problem is our choice is only slightly better…
Amen, brother.
norlyn: thk you…
Mychal:
You have hit a home run! However, let me digress to one of your points: That being your phrase “We exchanged the meaning of murder and supported it as the idea of a choice.” It is clear that this is in direct reference to abortion.
As heinous an act this is at its core, if this had remained strictly an anti-Christ crowd favorite, not participated in by those who name the name of Christ, those who still hold to the biblical principles set down within the Constitution (i.e. the Ten Commandments) would have soon outnumbered the socialists in our midst.
However, since so much of the so-called church have not only entered the abortion mill killing the innocents, they have also bought the lie that children in great numbers are a curse and not a blessing.
This and the unwillingness of Christian homes to teach their children biblical tenets, both by quoting them and by living them, has resulted in what we have today. It always starts in the home.
If and when we return to the God who created the heavens and the earth and established this once great nation to be as Ronald Reagan stated “a shining city on a hill” we will end up as the nation of Israel down through history has so many times: We will truly be led into captivity.
The only solace in this potential outcome? Just as Israel came to their senses and once again cried out to God, and as a result God sent a deliverer, so it could one day happen for America. Just the book of Judges alone, covering nearly 400 years of history, proves this to be true over and over again. God is a merciful God!
At the very least, what is happening in America today portends the promise made by Jesus Himself, that these things must come to pass in order for all things to be fulfilled and for Him to return. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus!!
May God continue to bless you and your message!! Stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might!!
fullcirclethinker: I agree w/ most of what you outlined…I disagree w/ your second paragraph…
Again said in your usual excellent and straightforward manner. I must agree with your premise except that it has not been totally “we” that have done this to our nation although “we” will all pay the price. Many have struggled and tried to get their elected representatives to actually represent them but to no avail. It seems the moment most of them get elected they begin plotting how they can get another term and that takes precedence over all else. Add to that the utterly stupid complacency (no other way to describe them and keep the language clean) of the voters who think they have a right to something for nothing and expect the government to provide it, a deeply entrenched corruption of both elected politicians and “faceless” politically appointed bureaucrats, and saddest of all – even many in the highest echelons of the military command structure appear to have succumbed to the evil of political correctness and fear of offending our enemies, I am afraid we are out numbered. I have come to the conclusion and firmly believe that the corruption and treason in our so-called government has become so deeply entrenched from the top down that we have passed the point where it can be sufficiently removed in a peaceful manner because it will take a total house cleaning yet I don’t believe the citizenry in general are concerned enough to get it done. I dislike spouting such negativity but hold out very little hope that congress or the judicial will do anything except spew out meaningless words. They have been unwilling to stop this downward vortex or remove what this fraudulent usurper has been allowed to create on top of the malfeasance that was already in place when he took over. I completely agree with the comments by Paul, above, on term limits, etc. but we know they are not going to vote themselves out of their seat on the gravy train of lucrative privileges and power. We might begin by not re-electing anyone but that isn’t going to happen. Too many qualified voters don’t even bother to vote let alone do it responsibly. It is easier to vote for the incumbent than make the effort to think and consider the incumbent’s record and the qualifications of opponents. Perhaps our best hope may be that the twenty-three million plus veterans and others of like mind and dedication to Duty, Honor, and Country are paying attention and will organize and act with courage when the second gauntlet is thrown down. One is already being trampled in the dirt under the feet of leftwing Marxists, communists, traitors, and the hooves of sheep. Will the second one land when they begin attempting to confiscate firearms from the well over 100 million legitimate owners? I don’t think the millions that have gone out and purchased guns since the 2008 elections and more every year since, are buying them with any intention of meekly turning them over to an arrogant, overbearing and despotic or dictatorial government just because they are told they have to. Maybe I am over estimating their collective courage to resist what has been historically proven time and again would literally be the final straw for any vestige of personal liberty we have left. We are historically a patient people where our politicians are concerned (or should that be apathetic and willfully ignorant of any thing unpleasant to acknowledge?) so I guess my biggest concern is that the complacency and attitude of denial of the populace in general that this could be happening to us and their golden goose could ever be killed or the taxpayers’ pockets could ever be emptied, pitted against the loud militancy and big money of special interest groups and fear based political correctness will stifle understanding of the urgent need to take our country back or lose it all. In addition as you know, the racial divisiveness that has been purposely exacerbated by the racist POS in the White House and his lap dogs must certainly be considered as a factor. Will the ones they are targeting going allow themselves to be so blinded by skin color and prejudice that they will not see they stand to lose everything if they do not do their part to turn this mess around?
wakinyan: my “we” was a “we” in general…not necessarily specific…
Part of the problem is that, except for us old fogies who remember what it was like during and after WW2 or Korea, the freedoms and way of life we had. Those in office now dont have those memories. They have no basis of comparison and no concept of what has been lost because, of course, “the old farts dont realize/understand life nowadays” So, they truly are the frogs in boiling water. What I would like to know is what happened to ‘majority rules”? you know, that basis of our democracy,(ei) when 1 atheist can force the removal of something the whole town has turned into a tradition, that is where majority rules should come into place..he wants it gone, we vote on it, it stays, he sucks it up and/or moves if it bugs him so much. The power has been taken away from “The People” and put into the hands of cowards that dont want to rock the boat, are more interested in politically correct and keeping their jobs then in whats right for ALL, they are supposed to be there for the ALL, not just the one. Time for the silent majority to get loud. Time to strain the brains and stop letting others that dont care about your life to make decisions for you. Stop being “sheeple” because youre being led to the slaughter.
vicki g: you make good points…
History 101
We did it to our selves…….
All who were old enough to be adults at the end of WWII know the feeling America and the world realized with the complete and unconditional surrender of the Axis of Evil (Hitler- Mussolini – Emperor of Japan) which had began a decade before conquering nearly all of Europe, Asia, and eastern the Pacific Islands.
At the beginning of 1941 Hitler had ravaged most of Europe parts of Asia and North Africa and was firing rockets across the English Channel at Brittan to soften them up for an invasion. Japan had all but destroyed our Pacific Fleet and occupied all the key islands in the eastern Pacific as well as butchering its way into its old enemy China. All of this happened as we watched from afar reluctant to get involved thinking we were immune to the appetite of evil for control of the earth through the pride of morally corrupted minds with the ability to organize activist communities disenchanted with their lives looking for leadership and their lust for personal power and/or privileges. That, for us, was a near fatal mistake.
However, true to the words of a Japanese Admiral, the attack on our naval base at Pearl Island did in fact awaken the sleeping patriot giants of America and our faith in both God and country who finally realized we were the last hope for freedom and liberty for the people on earth. Our young men enlisted in the armed force in droves our factories converted to producing the supplies they needed overnight and at home we joined the fight by conservation, rationing, and buying bonds to support the war effort. It truly was the best of times as every ethnic group, every skin color, ever class of Americans began instinctively to unite and sacrifice for the cause of peace and freedom around the world. And yes, was the worst of times for as our sons¸ daughters, parents and grand parents were giving their lives on the battlefields and islands by the tens of thousands around the globe for that cause at home we sadly still dealt with segregation and bigotry.
The next four years of bloody conflict taught us a few great lessons. Freedom on this earth has and will always come at a very high price. Liberty is more precious than gold. Even the mightiest of nations can be lulled into complacency. With God at our side and our trust in Him the enemies of freedom and liberty are always out numbered.
Emerging from the hard fought battles to rid the world of those evil forces responsible for the deaths of millions of innocent civilian men women and children simply because of their nationality or faith as the wave of bloody warfare and the stench of totalitarianism began to cover the globe our beloved country and its men and machines sent to every part of the globe were hailed by the world as the champions of the victorious Allied Forces. At that point it was the pentacle of pride to be an American and especially an American soldier. Coming home they were greeted with parades, celebrations, memorials for the fallen, and of course proud families. The world was at peace and the giant of freedom had won and American was the place to be.
We quickly rebounded into peacetime with new factories making cars, home appliances and furnishing for those returning who needed them to begin or rebuild their families. There were good jobs in our booming economy for anyone who wanted one. The “G I Bill” passed by congress gave our veterans a chance to attend the college of their “choice” or to receive job training in honor of their service to our country. Best of all in those good times the heart and soul of America was opened to the realization we were one nation¸ one people, under one God for the good of all regardless of our color or station in life. Segregation was no more. But little did we know that as a nation of God fearing freedom fighters who cherished liberty above life we were about to peak out as champions and the greatest Republic in history was going to be betrayed.
Terror and tyranny were turned back by our victories in WWII but as usual evil always thrives best when it can disguised itself as fairness, equality, and/or social justice and this took the form of a new strategy designed to defeat and dissolve the conquering hero from within. It built its battle plan knowing the need to make maximum use of those basic values of our Judeo-Christian culture and in a carefully designed series of concocted victim status approaches turning them against us playing on our compassion to compromise all or part of our principles one at a time. It took fifty or sixty years for the despots of deceit to nearly complete the transformation of our republic at this point but we have an opportunity to put an end to their plans in November.
bill sr: excellent call to remembrance…
You hit the nail right on the head. I have often posted “Obama is a dangerous man, but even more dangerous are those deluded fools who voted for him.”
brother steve: amen, amen, and amen…
Philosophically I have to agree with you Mychal, but in reality it is almost impossible to point at the specifics that has culminated in our society’s erosion. At one time our people trusted those we voted in or appointed to positions of authority to lead us and adhere to our laws.
Gradually our laws have been changed or compromised by those in our legal profession so that today every legislative body in our country is monopolized by lawyers who have carried their “Adversarial” court-room tactics into our legislative bodies where “Stalemate” has become the winning creed.
The loss of mandatory military service by every able bodied person 18 years of age or older has totally eroded our concept of national pride and patriotism.
Our political parties have become so diluted and mixed with career minded people that it is hard to distinguish their philosophy. For instance Senator John McCain has spent far too much time playing in the Democrats play-ground to truly call himself a Republican. He is in that party just because it was convenient in order to get elected. His desire to grant amnesty to illegal aliens in our country isn’t altruistic, but just another way to garner votes.
Senator Marco Rubio is the same way, and he is one who will defy our Constitution and laws if given the chance to garner votes from the Hispanic population.
Our political corruption slipped in on us very slowly and we are like the frog in water waiting for it to boil. We have only one recourse left to us and that is to target every politician that has served one term in office for removal and replace them with non-lawyers who have an abundance of common sense.
Keep up the excellent analysis and writing.

deputydog60: our downfall was not holding them accountable after electing them…
Well spoken Mychal. Humbling. Over the last 10 years, I have been in the process of slowly returning to living a simpler lifestyle. I, for one, spent my most productive years working to earn a living to not only produce a home to live in and money to pay the bills (a good thing), but became caught up in wanting the latest of gadgets, clothes, cars, eating out, traveling, and started going to church less. Yes, I see my responsibility in abdicating my middle class, tax payer, mentality, where government was concerned. Sad.
wendy: thk you for sharing…
Mychal this is hands down the best Rant I’ve read since I started reading your Rants about 6 mos ago! I couldn’t agree more with your assessment on how we got into this hellish corner we find ourselves backed into. It’s become so overwhelming that it’s no longer a “fixable” thing & we’ll only regain our Country by dismantling & rebuilding & that’s an ugly prospect that I fear collectively we don’t have the stomach for. I believe that to be the truth yet I find some comfort in the fact that there are people like you with both the intelligence & guts to tell the truth to all who will listen. Thank you & please continue to do what you do so well!!
n holiway: I don’t think people have the stomach for it either…
You are again..so right. I truly believe that unless we change the family unit first, nothing else will change for the better. Gone are the days when families spent time together and children respected their parents. Parents are more interested in obtaining material things for their kids and being their friend instead of the what they were taught by their parents. I hear so many times that they don’t know how to “control” their kids and that they would never have been able to “get away” with that with their parents. What the hell has happened? Did we really get so lazy and complacent or did we get so busy with our everyday lives that we forgot what is really important. We have and are giving away more of what this country was based on, everyday. What are relatives came here for “LEGALLY ” and worked so hard for, we now believe is our birth right. So many don’t want to work for anything anymore. Children don’t have to work anymore because the parents give them everything they need. Hell, most kids first cars today are worth more than mine. Its going to take hitting bottom before people will finally understand what has happened to our Nation. At this rate it won’t be very long before that happens.
slip60: you make my point…
Some possible solutions:
1) Term limits on Congress: one term maximum for the Senate and two terms for the House. We need citizen representatives, for whom Washington DC is a temporary job, instead of an entrenched political class.
2) No more golden parachutes for elected representatives: All elected representatives, including the President, Senators and Congressmen, receive pay and benefits of office only while serving their terms. When their term ends, they revert to their former civilian occupations, pay and benefits.
3) End the Washington DC ‘good old boys’ club for politicians: No more revolving door hiring from elected office straight into government consultancies, lobbying agencies, or senior administrative positions in government departments. At the end of their elected term of office, elected officials are banned from being hired into any of these positions for an exclusion period equal to twice the length of time that they served in elected office.
4) Congress may not exempt itself from its own legislation: All legislation applies equally to elected officials as to the rest of the population.
paul: bingo…you my friend have offered outstanding solutions…right after we get rid of those in office…
Exactly my sentiments, Mychal. It’s ironic that I posted this response to a post “When He is no Longer President” yesterday…..kind of agrees with your opinion:
How true. I have been saying the exact same thing since Day one of his Presidency, being one who saw through his lies and sins of omissions while he was campaigning! I couldn’t believe the People of the United States would fall for a smooth tongue, and hope and change without knowing what kind of change they would be “hoping” for! When I get really angry with the condition Obama has put this once beautiful Republic in, I scream out that we got what we deserved. Even We the people who saw through his blatant hypocrisy have to pay the price for those who fell for it! What a crying shame, isn’t it! Their sins are passed onto us! The Good always suffer for the bad and evil! I pray, and we all should pray, that in the end, Nov. 6th, Good will win out over Evil!
rvd: God has already triumphed over evil…evil people just don’t realize it yet…
Mychal you are so right. It’s to bad that the voters that voted for Obaffoon will go out and do it again. I can not see what any voter in their right mind would vote for Obaffoon. He has turned our Great Nation upside down.
george: he didn’t do it by himself…
Ben Franklin warned that when a society becomes corrupted, they will find themselves ruled by a despot. He was very wise and he was talking about us. I am appalled by the ignorance of so many of the American people about what is taking place. Somehow it does not register that it has anything to do with their lives. God promised he would heal our nations if we cry out to him for mercy. We need to be doing that every day because only He can save us from this tyranny that we find ourselves in. Thanks, Mychal for your boldness. God help us if voices like yours are silenced. Lastly, I have a question. Why isn’t Obama in line for impeachment?
doublesmith: I agree w/ all you have said…and obama hasn’t been impeached and indicted because vapid feckless republican leadership has refused to do so…
Most Americans take what they have for granted. Why else would such a very small per cent of the population vote while the rest stay home.
I personally feel that those that suck the hind tit of government by taking all the “freebies” offered, should not be allowed to vote if they don’t contribute in taxes.
Not having been born in this great country helps me to appreciate it all that is possible here and therefore I vote. But how many people really take the responsibility of voting seriously? Very few.
llen: your not being born here has indeed contributed mightily to your appreciation for what we have here…
I hear you loud and clear Mychal, but I confess to being frozen with fear because I believe we are outnumbered. I hope I am wrong, but I fear our population has reached the tipping point where the people who care and want to take care of themselves have been overcome by the people who only care about themselves and want someone else to take care of them. Between these people and the truly evil ones who are actively harming our country, it’s hard not to fear the worst will come. I pray to God every day for guidance and for someone or some group to have the wisdom and strength to rise up and lead the way.
dlb: they want us to be afraid…they want us to believe we are outnumbered…we are not…we cannot continue to bathe in fear…
Nailed it again Mychal! I must admit to struggling recently in deciding exactly who it is I harbor more animus towards: the FRAUD and his obnoxious hag wife ‘occupying’ our White House, or the imbeciles who buy into his BS and elected him.
Several years ago, and article in THE CZECH REPUBLIC OBSERVER spelled it out clearly and I would like to share it with you and your readers herewith as it speaks directly to the excellent point you have made:
from CZECH REPUBLIC OBSERVER……”The danger to
America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting an
inexperienced man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama Presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their President. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools
that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack
Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their President.”
bruce: I have contempt for them all i.e. the obamas, their minions, and those who go along w/ them…
There should be a way to make this article mandatory reading for everyone in the country!
ben: send to everyone you know and have them do same and so on and so on…
BRAVO, MYCHAL!! Self responsibility is the key. Getting rid of the laws that DISCOURAGE self-responsibility is one of the solutions! What I mean by that is there is a large group that wants something for nothing, and other large groups who are afraid to say or do anything for fear of “getting in trouble”. I still believe that there are more good people than bad. I also believe that there are more confused people than “bad” people. Don’t get me wrong, I believe there are truly self-serving greedy jackasses out there who are all about them. But I also believe that the majority of people are good, and if they have good to follow, they will be better! Although, in our “freewheeling” society, most of the “good” role-models are either ignored or made a joke of. How to change this? The only way I know is to take responsibility and try to do the right thing even when it hurts. As you do! Thanks.
deb: well said…I agree…
