Issa-Grassley: Keeping Good Ol' Boy Politics Alive

This past Sunday, Nancy, one of my readers/followers sent me the following: “Just listened on Fox in which Grassley was asked about impeachment proceeding against Holder, Grassley said, ‘he is certainly considering it BUT HE DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH ‘EVIDENCE’ AGAINST HOLDER SO FAR !!!’ EVERYONE ONE OF THESE POLITICIANS NEED TO PACK THEIR BAGS AND LEAVE THE TONS OF THE TAXPAYER’S MONEY BEHIND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE KEEP ELECTING IDIOTS OVER AND OVER !!!!!!!!!!”

She refers to Chuck Grassley, (R-IA), who has helped lead the congressional investigation into Operation Fast and Furious the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives program that was micro-managed by Obama’s Department of Justice under Eric Holder. But let me come back to this.

Amy Bingham writing for abcnews.go.com wrote: Rep. Darryl Issa, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said he “would not call for Holder to resign, at least for now.” (Issa Backs Off GOP’s Call for Holder to Resign Over Gun Sales; 12/2/11)

Issa is also quoted saying, “It’s up to Obama whether Holder loses his job or not.” Add to that his saying: “Fast and Furious was not the first federal investigation in which bad people are allowed to continue to do bad things in the name of going after bad people.”

Issa also said: “This is about a failure that seems to be pervasive in justice. Investigators play fast and loose with the expectations of what is right or wrong when it comes to, I’m going to use the word, collateral damage. This isn’t the first time that the FBI and other agencies have been involved in investigations which bad people are allowed to continue doing bad things in the name of going after bad people.”

In October, Issa said that Holder, “has failed to give Congress and the American people an honest account of what he and other senior Justice Department officials knew” about the gun walking program. “The lack of candor and honesty from our nation’s chief law enforcement officials in this matter is deeply disturbing,” Issa said, following the release of Justice Department documents seemingly showing that Holder knew about the program months before he testified that he did.

Nancy is right to be outraged, even the illegal aliens from Mexico and other Latin American countries should be outraged. BATFE is responsible for not just breaking the law, they are responsible for hundreds of Mexicans with no involvement in the drug trade being killed by Fast and Furious. Fast and Furious is responsible for the death of American Border Agents. And there can be absolutely no doubt that, Operation Fast and Furious is responsible for other murders that have as yet have not surfaced. It is naive to believe none of the firearms involved with Fast and Furious, have not by now made their way into other parts of the worldwide criminal underground.

There’s one more point that needs to be made, and that is there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hades that some low level paper pushers at BATFE, came up with, and executed, this operation on their own. Understanding that, it logically follows that there is no way this took place without it being signed off on by the head of the Justice Dept., i.e. Eric Holder, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and the White House itself, i.e., Obama. Even though Mafia chieftains keep layers between them and lower level thugs, it has been repeatedly proven that if you peel enough of the layers from that onion, the authorization for Mafia gangsters to commit murder comes from the top.

We now know what we many of us suspected from the beginning, and that is that Fast and Furious also involved the sinister and surreptitious plan(s) to undermine our Second Amendment right to own and bear arms. Is it a reach to connect the dots of Michelle Obama telling groups in private that Obama is going to and that Obama has plans to – end gun ownership as it is today?

Agent Brian Terry’s family is without a father, son, and husband this Christmas because of these people. We’ve watched Issa, Congressional Republicans, and Republican presidential candidates, pontificate and wax loquaciously at every opportunity to get before the camera pursuant to these crimes. But in the final analysis all that has been accomplished is a waste of taxpayer’s money on the kabuki theater called “congressional hearings.”

Nancy is furious and I am too, and every one of you should darn well be also. The media, Congress, and their minions have circled their wagons. Some low level schlepp will be made to step down, (and even that’s not guaranteed), and business will go on as corruptly as it always has. It’s time people get angry and demand action. But, not action from Congress and certainly not from that Commie coke head in the Oval Office.

We must demand action from one another. And that action must be nothing short of replacing them all starting with Boehner. We must clean house in both Chambers of Congress. Electing Gingrich, Paul, Bachmann isn’t going to make a dime’s bit of difference – they’re all in Congress now and haven’t done a thing. We must stop making excuses for this people – they must be punished in the way that harms them most, and that is by loosing their seats. Then we must move to have legislation passed, that congressional pensions be restructured and brought more in line with the pensions of ordinary, non-union workers. Congressional members are the equivalent of non-house broken dogs, that will continue to mess on the floor until they are house broken or put down, because they refuse to be trained. The failure isn’t in the Department of Justice as Issa claimed – the failure is that we keep re-electing the same scum over and over expecting them to act in our best interest.
