‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Striving To Make Sense Out Senselessness by Robert Socha

My thoughts today are disquieting and convoluted.

Double-standard.

One of the main tenets to western success is the rule of law. The obvious understanding is the equal application of laws to everyone regardless of their station.

There is a very distinct difference in the responses to the discontent of the last two presidential election outcomes. First, President Trump’s magnanimous display granting pardons for inauguration day riotous behavior. The second is a vindictive administration’s punishment bent on crushing dissent of an overzealous assembly calling on Congress to ensure election integrity.

Likewise, there is presently too much arbitrary enforcement of the law. Feckless DAs refusing to prosecute crimes are an embarrassment to the justice system.

Governors and Mayors allowing riotous behavior to run roughshod within their jurisdiction is gross negligence. Similarly, calling those who destroyed personal property and even created an autonomous zone within a city mostly peaceful while castigating their political opposition as domestic terrorists is appalling. These tactics have been encroaching our culture for many years now, and they reek of ethnic cleansing rhetoric.

Whatever happened to truth in media and publicly shaming those who practice yellow journalism?

Shame on the fearmongers running the major news channels, whether media or the internet. Their bias is as obvious as the nose on our faces.

Shame on the plethora of elected representatives who twist the details of a thing to fit their agenda. They choose to include elements of truth instead of the whole truth.

Why is Congress fighting so diligently to slander those questioning the veracity of the 2020 election results? Whatever happened with the investigation of the laser explosion in Tennessee?

We heard nothing but Russia collusion for the first two years of President Trump’s administration. The conclusion, Trump’s innocence. Yet, the unnatural Biden bump that happened in crucial swing states when they restarted counting on November 4, 2020, is unquestionable. So, how did all those votes appear?

Why are we okay with our politicians recklessly spending so much money? What type of austerity would be required to return to constitutional spending?

The financial system appears to be a house of cards that could collapse at any moment. So, where is the safety net for the average joe?

The police are acting like the Gestapo and brown-shirts. I’ve written about this before but never did I believe they would arrest people for not showing ID, although deep-down I knew it was coming.

Average Americans are happy that compatriots are behind bars for exercising their rights, even calling for their endless punishment. Opinion pieces have drawn an erroneous equivalence between the people who participated in climbing the Capitol steps to Confederate soldiers and even more severely to Pearl Harbor and nine-eleven. Why have our differences instigated such vitriol?

I can’t get my mind around how quickly and completely we turned on ourselves. Again, like I wrote earlier: ethnic cleansing. This time, ethnicity doesn’t matter (although less melanin is a significant factor); ideology does.

On Monday, January 10, Project Veritas exposed Fauci as lying under oath to Congress. Yet, I see no headlines calling for his resignation or arrest and arraignment.

And please don’t forget the erased little black book. Where is the justice here?

In all these things and more, there is discontent, discomfort, and general apathy toward my ability to accomplish anything noteworthy until I look unto the Author and Finisher of Faith, and he comforts me with the following Psalm:

Psalm 42[i]

Why Are You Cast Down, O My Soul?

To the choirmaster. A Maskil of the Sons of Korah.

42 As a deer pants for flowing streams,

so pants my soul for you, O God.

2 My soul thirsts for God,

for the living God.

When shall I come and appear before God?

3 My tears have been my food

day and night,

while they say to me all the day long,

“Where is your God?”

4 These things I remember,

as I pour out my soul:

how I would go with the throng

and lead them in procession to the house of God

with glad shouts and songs of praise,

a multitude keeping festival.

5 Why are you cast down, O my soul,

and why are you in turmoil within me?

Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,

my salvation 6 and my God.

My soul is cast down within me;

therefore I remember you

from the land of Jordan and of Hermon,

from Mount Mizar.

7 Deep calls to deep

at the roar of your waterfalls;

all your breakers and your waves

have gone over me.

8 By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,

and at night his song is with me,

a prayer to the God of my life.

9 I say to God, my rock:

“Why have you forgotten me?

Why do I go mourning

because of the oppression of the enemy?”

10 As with a deadly wound in my bones,

my adversaries taunt me,

while they say to me all the day long,

“Where is your God?”

11 Why are you cast down, O my soul,

and why are you in turmoil within me?

Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,

my salvation and my God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
