Reparations Are A Bad Social Investment

The last thing so-called blacks in America need or deserve is reparations.  Yet there are rumblings out of Los Angeles, New York, and other progressive blue states advocating just that.  These people neither deserve nor are owed nor need special preferences based upon the amount of melanin they exhibit.  The fact that skin-color pimps will attempt to use every extortive machination available to obtain a financial windfall through racial blackmail and activist courts.

The blacks espousing such debilitating and self-limiting agendas should be forced to answer exactly how reparations would benefit those of their kind who are already getting every form of government subsistence available to be doled out, and by all empirical and objective color-coded criteria, it has accomplished nothing more than creating a subculture of acceptable self-segregation, alienation, and the rejection of modernity.

In 2003, I wrote a syndicated article that appeared in the Philadelphia Tribune, titled “America Has Apologized.”  The same article appeared elsewhere under the title: “Stop Groveling Over Slavery, USA.”  I wrote: “The United States didn’t invent slavery. While it is a historical fact that certain regions participated in and benefited from slavery, it should also be pointed out that America had the good sense [and decency] to eliminate slavery and emancipate its slaves – acknowledging their full rights and citizenship. … Some black Americans embrace opportunity while others embrace bitterness, ignorance, and lies.”

If the Justices of the Supreme Court had even a tertiary concern for Americans of color (much less a strict adherence to the Constitution), they would delineate the unimpeachable facts pursuant to how government intervention, vis-a`-vis race and gender-based affirmative action, has harmed and retarded the productiveness of massive numbers of so-called blacks and women.

Those like the group in Los Angeles, New York and other progressive enclaves, demanding reparations would do better to demand an end to the murder of unborn children and especially the disparate numbers of color-coded children.  They would call for an end to self-perpetuated apartheid, an end to animalistic behavior that has led to unprecedented single parent homes, and homes where children are raised by other family members because the child’s mother, father, and grandparents are incarcerated or dead from self-inflicted violence and drugs.

It’s time for people to realize that ethnicity doesn’t trump nationality, that the only thing a person is owed is an opportunity, and that race and gender based affirmative action/quotas is one of the single greatest forms of government-inflicted injustice since the pre-colonial empires of the Dahomy and Ashanti tribes (modern day Benin and Ghana) made the tracking, trapping, capturing, and trading of other Africans their single largest form of commerce.

Those advocating extortion while denying that it was their own African ancestors who enslaved them for commercial reasons, should invest more effort into reading, writing, math, Godly homes and forming a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, i.e., being born again.
