‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

AI and The Erosion Of Our Values by Robert Socha

I have been curious about the advent of AI in our daily lives and its accessibility, so I conducted a simple experiment to see how it would respond. I asked the following question:

“Read the following three excerpts I have previously written and generate a unique article in my writing style based on their themes. The articles will be framed by /begin and /end.”

(You can find links to the excerpts at the end.)

The following 503 words, framed by /begin and /end, is the unabridged response the AI platform immediately provided. Notably, while the AI alludes to religion and morality, it fails to mention Christ and the Christian Faith specifically whereas my original writings adamantly express the Faith.

In today’s world, it seems as though the values we once held dear are slipping away, replaced by a culture that celebrates death, serfdom, and thought control rather than the ideals of Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These sentiments echo throughout our society, from the halls of government to our educational institutions and even our own homes.

Take, for example, the issue of abortion. What was once seen as a tragic necessity in extreme circumstances has now become a widespread practice, with unborn children being sacrificed at the altar of convenience. We’ve lost sight of the sanctity of life, much like how the horrors of slavery betrayed our founding principles. And the aftermath of these decisions is often overlooked—the turmoil and torture endured by women who have undergone such procedures, the fear that pervades our student populations as they wonder if their schools will be the next targets of violence.

Similarly, the encroachment of government regulations and totalitarian edicts threatens our economic prosperity and individual freedoms. Capitalism, for all its flaws, has lifted millions out of poverty and provided abundance for generations. Yet, excessive government interference and burdensome regulations hamper its potential, leading to economic collapse and supply chain disruptions. The threat of fines and imprisonment looms large, effectively resigning the citizenry to serfdom.

Meanwhile, the dominance of social and mainstream media has shaped the conversation to fit the narrative of the day, often at the expense of truth and dissenting voices. We’ve seen the normalization of behaviors once deemed immoral, such as the castration and mutilation of individuals, even children, in the name of progress and acceptance. The destruction of the family unit is seen as paramount to the rise of despotism.

In the face of these challenges, what are reasonable people to do? We must fight back with straightforward language that reveals truth in every circumstance. We must encourage elected officials to run on principle, even if it means sacrificing their political careers. We must look to higher truths and honor the sanctity of life and the intrinsic value of every human being.

But the erosion of our values extends beyond political and social spheres—it infiltrates our religious institutions and personal beliefs. We’ve abandoned the foundations of religious virtue, allowing hedonism and self-gratification to take precedence over faith and self-denial. This moral collapse is evident in the subtle indoctrination of children through literature and the normalization of lifestyles that defy the natural order.

It’s time to reclaim our moral compass, to stand firm in our beliefs, and to uphold the virtues that have guided us for generations. We must recognize the consequences of our actions and strive to live lives that reflect our deepest convictions. Only through a sincere return to faith and morality can we hope to restore the values of family, work, and neighborhood that have sustained us through the ages. As President Reagan once said, it must begin with all of us who believe in the sanctity of life and the pursuit of happiness.

While this fascinating experiment provides much food for thought, and I am amazed at the AI’s summary of my writings, I feel empty and regret the ease with which I can forge original ideas despite its simplicity and thoroughness. The AI’s omission of specifying Christianity is likely intentional. This omission warns that AI-generated materials may willfully ignore the evidence of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection advancing the removal of the conversation from public discourse, and we must be aware of the possibility. Nevertheless, I am determined to write. It keeps me stirred to action, my mind engaged, and I commit to writing original content moving forward as I always have.
