Tulsi Gabbard Is Doing Her Job; Will DOJ Do Theirs?

Remember the 1993 suspense movie titled: The Firm, which starred Tom Cruise as a young, fresh out of law school lawyer, recruited to join, what on the surface appears to be a respectable, and prestigious law firm.
In my opinion, the ending of the movie delivers one of the best movie dialogues ever. The conversation is between the Tom Cruise character (Mitch McDeere) and the federal agent played by the Ed Harris character (Wayne Terrance):
- Mitch McDeere: I got mine, Wayne, you get the rest of them.
- Wayne Tarrance: Get ’em with what? Overbilling, mail fraud? Oh, that’s exciting.
- Mitch McDeere: It’s not sexy, but it’s got teeth! Ten thousand dollars and five years in prison. That’s ten and five for each act. Have you really looked at that? You’ve got every partner in the firm on overbilling. There’s two hundred fifty acts of documented mail fraud there. That’s racketeering! That’s minimum one thousand, two hundred fifty years in prison and half a million dollars in fines. That’s more than you had on Capone.
This movie moment reminds me of what we are facing if the Department of Justice (DOJ) allows the congressional clown show called congressional hearings to derail things.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has declassified information that should serve as evidence to punish guilty parties. But, my instincts tell me that this will be nothing more than circus act, that we’ve seen play out many times before.
The naysayers and Erebusic detractors can claim this is just revenge for what was “rightly and justifiably” done to President Trump. Notwithstanding, just as they were lying when they went after President Trump before, so they’re now and will be lying then. However, they’re pernicious calumniators, and that’s what they do.
This is an opportunity to put Obama behind bars. It is an opportunity to replace the Ho Chi Minh tunic outfits Hillary Clinton wears, with an orange jumpsuit and the name of whatever prison she is sentenced, embroidered across the back, with her prison number over a front pocket.
It is the opportunity to charge the Democrat cabal and crooked Republicans involved in the Russia-gate falsity, the abuse of power, lying under oath, staging and organizing a coup against President Trump and disenfranchising We the People, and a litany of other charges. Charges, that when added up will result in prison sentences for a phalanx of perpetrators who have forged their political careers on misdeeds.
But, never discount Republican’s ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It’s what they do. If there’s a way to ensure bad guys go unpunished, and at the same time punish their own, count on Republicans to do it.
The right-leaning media and their talking heads are clamoring about bringing charges based upon treason and associated charges. Treason is the most serious crime someone can commit against the United States, but finding someone guilty of same demands reaching the near unreachable height of said bar. It’s the only offense specifically outlined in the Constitution, in Article III, Section 3. The crime is also codified in 18 U.S. Code § 2381. It requires a person(s) be found guilty of levying war against the United States or giving aid and comfort to her enemies. That’s an incredibly high bar to reach.
A lesser-known, but still serious crime, I was at first amenable to, is seditious conspiracy. It’s defined in 18 U.S. Code § 2384. It involves two or more people conspiring to overthrow the U.S. government, delay the execution of federal law, or seize government property, all by force. But, there’s a problem in charging a person(s) with this: The statute requires that the use of force was employed to commit said crime.
It appears to me, at this juncture at any rate, that the DOJ is going to swing for the glitzy, bright lights charges, thus ensuring the names of the prosecutors will be in history books forever.
I argue that what is needed are charges that will stick, and that will ensure prison time of a minimum of 36 t0 48 months per charge. We need charges with teeth, they don’t have to be flamboyant charges.
The other thing that DOJ need be cautious about is Kabuki political theater, i.e., congressional grandstanding and pontificating.
We need the Republican Congress to protect President Trump from the assault he is under from lowlife malevolent and morally opprobrious loathsome creatures, who care only about destroying every vestige of civility and morality.
We need Republicans to with loud united voices repeating ad nauseum – the court victories, the economic achievements, the international achievements, the securing of our borders, and so on. We need Congress to make it clear that if there were anything tying President Trump to Epstein, it would have been have been used to prevent his winning a first term.
Republicans need to be out in front making it clear that Democrats are using the same tactics that were used by Alvin Bragg and Letitia James. Congressional Republicans must be on the front end of the spear disallowing yellow-Leninists, i.e., Democrats, using lies of an Epstein involvement to derail President Trump’s momentum in Making American Great Again. We don’t need them grandstanding in worthless Congressional hearings.
We need Republicans to codify the Executive-Orders President Trump has signed. We need them to end sanctuary cities. We need Congress to delve into the truth of how President Trump was allowed to nearly be assassinated.
There is plenty the Republican Congress should be doing apart from political theater of congressional hearings. And, as I stated above; we also need the DOJ to bring indictments that have teeth and will bring guilty verdicts followed by prison sentences.
It is a fact that if people are under serious threat of going to jail, they’re going to turn on Obama. I’m not saying Obama wouldn’t enjoy being in prison with sweaty men lifting weights; I am saying he belongs there.
