What About The Child’s Body and Choice?
Friday evening after church, my wife and I were speaking with a church friend who has a particular burden for the anti-abortion ministry. In the course of conversation we spoke about the duplicitous misspeak employed to detract from the heinous and indefensible barbarism of murdering children.
From a true Christ-centered, born again Christian perspective, the institutionalized slaughter of babies is as demonic as it gets. The very act is satanic barbarism, which cannot under any circumstances be reconciled with the 20th chapter of Leviticus (KJV) or any dozens of other verses referencing the Godhead. A point, that refutes the arguments made by illiterate biblical atheists who claim neither the bible or Jesus never mentioned abortion.
The defense that baby-killers are quick to blather, is “it’s my body, it’s my choice.” In truth, nothing could be more distant from reality or factual truth. There’s one scenario and one scenario alone in which that cliche is true. The woman has the right, and some would argue the moral duty, to not engage in fornication. It is a fact that a woman cannot get pregnant by practicing abstinence. That’s where the idea of “my body, my choice” begins and ends.
The misguided idea that women can go out sleep around, end up pregnant, and then murder the child to avoid personal responsibility or inconvenience, is a lie from the pit of hell. The idea that murdering one’s unborn child is somehow tantamount to women’s health is also an Erebusic heterodoxy.
Women have the right to keep their body chaste until they are married. I argue the right to make said assertion of “it’s my body” to justify the killing of an unborn child, is morally reprobate. The unborn child has just as much right to ownership over their body as the selfish woman and/or man does over their convenience. Perhaps the practice of attorney ad litem should be practiced from the automatic position that every unborn child has the right to make their own informed decision per life. That also means no abortion pills. Let’s give the child until they’re 18-years old to decide on their own if they want to be killed or live. I’m guessing the women who are so cavalier with respect to killing their children wouldn’t be as cavalier about being killed themselves. But, I digress.
A man has the duty to be responsible as well. It is morally opprobrious for a man to support or encourage the murder of the unborn child he spawned because the cost of killing the unborn child is more economical than raising the child and marrying the mother.
Another proof of my point is, the unborn child will go to heaven, while the unrepentant will go to hell. The most villainous parent who repents and accepts Christ as their Savior will be forgiven for killing their unborn, albeit they may be haunted by the act. The fact that an unborn child has not become accountable for sin, means they will go to heaven.
That fact alone crushes the argument of “my body, my choice.”
If George Floyd had actually murdered the pregnant woman into who’s stomach he shoved a loaded gun, and if the unborn child had died, he would have been charged with a double homicide. It might be a woman’s body as so many baby-killers are quick to claim, but I dare one of the women who claim said fabrication – to sit on the steps of a court house with a hatchet and start chopping off one finger at a time and see what happens.
If there’s a concern about the public display, I dare a similarly minded woman to sit in her home with a hatchet and start chopping off her parts of her legs or using a knife to cut off her breasts. Remember it’s her body; what right would anyone have to confront her personal choice?
I had the privilege of calling the late Dr. Mildred Fay Jefferson my friend. Among her many achievements was her work in helping to found the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC). I would be remiss if I didn’t note her singular reason for opposing abortion was the oath she had taken in becoming a doctor. Her oath as a doctor swore her to save lives not take lives.
The Hippocratic oath makes every doctor who performs an abortion a murderer and violator of their sworn oath to preserve life. Instead, today they take lives for profit. Wild west gunslingers for hire, had more integrity.
The examples I just presented are no less meritless than the reasons offered in support of the continued industrialized systematic extermination of unborn children.
We’re supposedly a civilized people. I say, there’s nothing more uncivilized than women having their children murdered simply because of inconvenience or fear. It is as barbaric and demonic as murdering children for the sake of tissue and organ harvesting.
