Covid19 Numbers Do Not Warrant The Actions Being Taken

Every day, all day, we are confronted with more chicken-little the sky is falling be terrified, breathless gurgitation designed and intended to make us paralyzed with fear.

Manipulating public opinion has been around since the earliest mass communication entities, and specifically since those employed by same have come to believe delivering misinformation and agitprop under the banner of journalism is a noble effort.

But this has transmogrified from an incestuous moral deficiency into bi-pedal cretins who mislead the public without blinking as they read from a teleprompter. That in no way excludes the calumniators and profiteers who believe having the prefix of Congressman in front of their names elevates them from going about on their bellies and eating dust, much like the progenitor of their kind.

These are the people driving the torrent of panic across the nation. Every news and talk program begins with the number of persons who have contracted the Covid19 flu virus. Alinskyite dilettantes babble pernicious lies and accusations about President Trump while State governors, specifically those who are Democrats, under cover of public safety engage in the deliberate destruction of small businesses, private industry, and retirement benefits.

Yesterday morning I awaked to read that the first case of Covid19 had materialized in Berks County, PA. Two hours later I was bombarded with “Breaking News” proclaiming the number of Covid19 cases in Pennsylvania had “dramatically risen to 37.” That’s 37 cases in a State with 12.8 million people and millions more people who visit and/or pass through the State annually.

My home adopted home State of Florida as of 11:25 a.m. March 18, 2020, had 289 confirmed cases for residents. That’s 289 confirmed cases for a State with a population of 21.99 million residents, and millions upon millions of annual visitors. Is it me or are those numbers sorely lacking as a cause for the massive closings?

Yesterday the Dow Market closed below 19,000 for the first time since President Trump was elected. Predictably, the mid-morning news headlines were, “Trump Economic Gains Wiped Out.”

I expect the loathsome propagandists in the pathetic excuse for news to lie and foment grief and immiseration whenever possible as long as a real Representative of the people is in office. So while their attacking and attempting to besmirch President Trump is morally opprobrious and demonic it’s not out of character for them.

However, even though said is the case, that doesn’t explain why the numbers warrant the actions being taken. Which begs answer to the question, suppose that’s not what it’s all about? Suppose we aren’t looking in the right direction?

As I said in my piece two weeks ago, “There’s A Reason Covid19 Doesn’t Pass The Smell Test.”

The numbers alone do not add up for this type of hysteria and Statewide shutdowns, which are nothing more than de facto acts of martial law.

Either we are being purposely being destroyed or we are being protected from a scenario that is beyond anything we have seen in the past 120 years or more. The investment being made into the economy and the monies being supplied to families, combined with President Trump invoking the Defense Production Act to ensure the private sector can increase manufacturing and distribution of emergency supplies amid what is being called the Covid19 pandemic are simply not matching up. The cessation of all foreclosures, evictions, utility shut-offs, ad nauseum for the next period of months is unparalleled.

To which I again say: it doesn’t make sense that such actions for a flu virus that to date has had virtually no viral impact upon our population. I keep saying, the numbers alone do not warrant the steps that are being taken. For instance, faced many times in recent history with varying forms of Coronaviruses, why is Covid19 the only one that has necessitated the canceling of all athletic competitions globally, both professional and amateur? Why is Covid19 the only one that has caused global border closings and business closings?

Considering all of the various Coronaviruses in existence today, what makes this one so deadly? Unless this one isn’t just a creation born out of an avian infectious bronchitis virus.

Suppose there really is something massive looming on the horizon, that the steps being taken today are protecting us against in the immediate near future. Suppose China has gone beyond polluting the world with deadly toxins spread through its polluted and disease-infested ecosystem?

With these current numbers, I can point to no earthly reason to impose what amounts to de facto martial law. Especially when there is any number of highly more contagious pathogens in the Order Nidovirales, Family Coronarviridae, Subfamily Corona virinae and Genus Gammacoronavirus; all of which are genetically very similar coronaviruses that cause disease.

When police are being told not to arrest criminals except for violent and/or brutal crimes and it has nothing to do with liberal political brownie points, it gets my attention. That having been said, I go back to my original point and that is the numbers do not remotely support the actions being forced upon us.
