‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Have Christians Helped Godless Politicians Destroy The Church?

As a born-again Christian I find nothing God-honoring in cowering to the dictates of evil and wicked beings simply because they hold a position of authority. And before someone refers to Hebrews 13:17 (KJV), I point out that said verse addresses religious leaders, not civil rulers.

For those who would point to Romans 13:1 (KJV), I agree. We are to obey traffic laws, pay taxes, not commit murder, not bear false witness against our neighbor, we’re not to steal, etc. But, if we are true Christians, I argue that we’re to resist having our tax dollars go to support businesses that murder babies. The law affords employment protection to all people, as it should; but I will not be forced to employ an openly homosexual or so-called transgendered teacher in my private Christian school nor will I suffer my church to be forced into allowing homosexuals to serve in any capacity. If I were a caterer, I would not be forced into catering a homosexual wedding. If I were in nursing school, I would refuse to participate in the killing of babies in order to get my nursing credentials. If I were a janitor in a courthouse I would read my Bible on courthouse property during my breaks and lunch time. In short, I will obey the law, but I will not conform to man’s law when it conflicts with God’s Word.

Which brings me to where we find ourselves today. I have wrestled at length with this, but I cannot cast aside the feeling and ultimately the conviction that Christendom has given the executioner the rope with which to hangs us.

I’m talking about the haste with which we shuttered our doors in accordance to dictates of evil self-interested godless politicians and Covid19. There is nothing that wicked politicians and the reprobate practitioners of godlessness want more than to destroy Christ-centered Christian Churches, schools and organizations. These politicians may be venal pernicious calumniators but that’s just their character traits. We should not dismiss the fact that just as snakes know how to catch mice, so too these bi-pedal elapids are quick to learn how to convert opportunity into their advantage.

A colleague responded to my syndicated op-ed titled, Covid19: Exaggerated Rumors of Impending Doom, saying: We’re being played. A virus, a cold virus, is being used to control us. We’re told to abandon Church, not to assemble in groups more than 50 … more than 10 … not to gather in groups larger than 2. We’re told to trust in government-people … not God … not ourselves. We’re told to remain in our homes … government-people will be “out there” for us. Our means of livelihood are being destroyed … we’re told government-people will send us a check … when government-people don’t have “any money” until they first take it from us … just like they needed to first destroy our means of livelihood before we “needed them” to send us a check. Some sage once opined that the most threatening words you might hear are, “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help you.”

He could not be more correct. Yesterday, I spoke with a beloved friend and brother in Christ who lives in Montana. He expressed the the same grave concerns that I have. A professional colleague and brother in Christ living in Oregon told me: “Many, if not most Americans are far too gullible and wimpy;” and I cannot agree with him more.

The minions of satan occupying public office now realize they can turn this golden opportunity we have presented them, into the closure and seizure of private Christian schools. We have shown them how to at long last end homeschooling after their having failed many times in the past. We have given them the keys to take our children for failing to comply to their edicts. You can call me crazy if you want, but I was called crazy many years ago when I said the hour was upon us that Pastors would be imprisoned for preaching Christ. I was scorned when I said the time was coming that government would take our children if it was said we forced them to church. In divorce proceedings judges routinely rule that one parent cannot take a child to an evangelical church against the will of the other parent. Even worse, fathers are forced to pay for their child to be sexually butchered in an attempt to turn them into what they were not born. Even if the father is bitterly opposed to same.

There is a reason Daniel, Mordecai/Esther, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, refused to comply to the edicts of evil rulers under penalty of death; it was because they knew that none other than God was to be feared and worshipped. I also believe they understood the enemy of our souls only needs us to capitulate to evil one time, and even if we repent and escape his clutches, we’ve set the pattern of surrender born out of our fear for future generations to copy.

We are to exercise common sense especially at this time. But we are also to submit our path unto the Lord. The Scriptures tell us in 2 Chronicles 20:3 (KJV), that King Jehoshaphat “feared”, but he didn’t succumb to his fear; he turned to God and sought His help. Moses, Joshua, David, Joseph, Paul, Peter, and many others provide a great cloud of witnesses showing forth courage and trust in God.

The concern I raise is how quickly Christendom surrendered to the will of man without first genuinely seeking the will of God. How do we say no to the next government edict that masquerades itself as a threat to our safety. I see this as no different than the silent submission of many so-called evangelicals to the corrupt law that forced God from the public square and public schools. Even now there are denominations that have become as godless as satan worshippers embracing the murder of babies, welcoming sexual debauchery in the pulpit and leadership of the church, and openly preaching that God’s Word isn’t immutable.

Can we honestly say that if true born again believers in Christ had joined together at the altars of our churches nationwide at an agreed upon day and hour so that we were all praying at the same time, that we wouldn’t have seen a miracle of God unlike anything in the history of our Nation? People are quick to give lip service to the need for revival, but can we honestly say if same had been done it would not have resulted in healing and a massive revival?

I believe this was an opportunity for the Christian church to hold up the mantle of God in prayer and fasting in our churches. Not as a token act for the sake of attention grabbing.

But I am convinced that our lack of spiritual backbone is going to come back to haunt us in the not distant future. Anti-church godless politicians now know what it takes to stop church. And I guarantee you that some among their ranks have already figured out how to use what they have learned this time around, to accomplish their evil goals. The precedent has been set.
