John McCain Needs Jesus Not Spite
According to the New York Times, in addition to other sources, John McCain does not want President Trump nor Sarah Palin to attend his funeral. My question is why would they want to? But I get ahead of myself.
McCain reportedly suffers from an aggressive form of brain cancer that has left him with precious little time left here on earth. Let me say that I have neither approved of McCain nor liked him since he took office. He is not the type of human being I want to associate with in my personal life. In my professional life he is not the type of person I could trust. And as an elected official he not only embodies the most abhorrent qualities associated with said position, but he exhibits the most abominable traits of fallen man and he does so with an arrogant pride that I find doubly offensive. Which is why I refused his offer to stand on the platform with him during his failed presidential bid. I told him no and let him know he wasn’t getting my support.
With the aforementioned as a caveat, I would never wish death on a person, not even McCain. He may be a loathsome creature who did his best to stymie conservative causes whenever possible and as often as possible, but that does not give me license to disobey God by wishing evil upon him.
There was a chorus of satanic Democrats and their demonic minions who mocked President Reagan and said horrible things about him as Alzheimer’s disease consumed him. But we expect that from their kind; after all you don’t expect proper table manners from feral children.
As a reasonable Christian, I pity McCain. I pity anyone who is filled with such an unwarranted opinion of himself. I pity anyone who is so consumed with hate for other persons that even as they face their final moments here on earth they plot how to publicly spite persons and seek revenge. It is a tragic way to spend the last hours of his life but it is in perfect keeping with what makes McCain so disliked.
McCain, in the time that he has left, should be on his face before God seeking forgiveness for his sins and sinful life. He should be thanking God Almighty for giving him the time and lucidity to seek forgiveness for a life that was blessed with a silver spoon in his mouth and privileges that others could have but hoped for – instead he wasted it all on lies, corruption, and petty attempts at revenge.
McCain was given a pass that was surpassed only by Ted Kennedy and Obama when it came to secreting a person’s criminal and negligent life. A fact I addressed in my syndicated op-ed in 2015. (See: Every Administration and News Desk Covered Up For McCain; 7/39/2015)
God has given McCain the gift of time and instead of using it to seek the Lord, he is spending it plotting revenge and spite. How does President Trump being told he isn’t invited to McCain’s funeral impact President Trump?
Apart from Jesus Christ there is no salvation and we are expressly told in scripture that if we harbor hatred and resentment, we are not of God.
Instead of McCain’s daughter’s pathetic attempt to attach some ghastly horror to words by Mike Allen and Jake Tapper, two pernicious liars in their own right, she should be reading John 3:3,16; the first eight chapters of the Book of Romans; and 1 John the first and second chapters. Because even if these two men, who have the credibility of Clinton and Obama, turn out to be telling the truth, “at this point what does it matter?” I would think that not spending his eternal life in hell with those who passed before him, who also were liars, cheaters, adulterers, ad nauseum would be the most important thing at this moment. But McCain apparently isn’t concerned about his eternal soul.
For the record, I do not remotely believe President Trump was mocking McCain on his deathbed any more than I believe President Trump mimicked a handicapped journalist. An accusation that even the journalist in question emphatically stated then candidate Trump, had never mocked him. But that truth was lost on the way to the evening news.
For those asking how I can say McCain is going to hell? I base it on Galatians 5:15-26. I base my words upon 1 John 1:5-11. I base it upon Psalms 119:89, that God’s word is immutable and settled in heaven forever. (All scripture verses are KJV)
I’ve been a born again Christian nearly 38-years, over 30-years of which as an ordained minister. John McCain needs Jesus Christ, not petty revenge.
McCain may think it clever and insulting to President Trump, to have Obama give his eulogy, but I can tell you this with all the confidence in the world: when McCain sees Obama in hell, he will not be shaking his hand and thanking him for his wonderful remarks. Because the bible tells us that hell is not that kind of place.
