Repeat With Me
It cannot be said enough. We are about to have it stuck to us in a big way and it will be our own fault. The problem lies in refusing to understand that the Republican Party is not our friend. It also stems from not understanding how to wage the battle. It is understanding that politicians spend millions on handlers whose sole responsibility is to make them appear likable. I’ve shared the “Green Rooms” with them on numerous occasions, and I can tell you the overwhelming majority are self-absorbed, oleaginous, bloodsucking substances that have personified themselves into that which is able to cast a shadow.
Conservatives win when they run as conservatives. If a candidate claims to be a conservative and is afraid to run as one — what chance is there that they will govern as one if they get elected?
We have got to be engaged and active, and in many instances that means doing more than sending the same emails to the same people. And I’m not in any way attempting to minimize that — except when I find the same email in my inbox 231 times in one afternoon.
A cover-up is taking place in Benghazi and it is one that is going to make the cover-up in Fast and Furious look like cheap touch-up paint on a deteriorating surface. The Obama administration is playing a chess game of subterfuge, lies and obfuscation — and they’re going to get away with it unless the Republican hierarchy stops posing and pontificating for the camera and treats this as if it were Mr. Nixon and Watergate.
The media has us distracted with which general slept with which woman. That is not important; it is a diversion intended to shift focus and it is working. And both Parties are benefiting from it. Democrats are benefiting because it is protecting Obama’s dishonest behind, and the Republicans are benefiting because it gives feckless Representatives like Lindsay Graham the opportunity to appear on Fox News pretending to be interested in getting to the truth.
Fox News is not our friend — they are a business out to secure ratings, political access, and advertising dollars. I will not mention names, but I can tell you that many otherwise well-meaning individuals and public policy institutes are not only afraid to criticize Fox — but steadfastly refuse — because they are afraid of not being invited back. I don’t give a rat’s tail if Fox appreciates what I say or not. I’m committed to the truth.
In reality, just out of our line of sight, John Boehner and the so-called leadership are coming up with a way to sell us out to Obama. At least when Brutus stabbed Caesar on that fateful Ides of March he did it in plain sight.
Obama is in full gloat mode. He believes himself beyond reach because he knows that regardless of his culpability the media will not report it, and Congressional hearings are not going to yield any fruit as long as John Boehner is his golfing buddy.
His press conference yesterday should be viewed in the context of what Muslims do when they conquer a foe. They build a mosque on the conquered ground (the attempt to build a mosque on Ground Zero should come to mind). In this instance, Obama held a press conference to gloat and play king.
Our focus must be myopic for the next two years. Freedom comes in 2014 if we commit to do what needs to be done the next two years. (To learn more about privacy concerns some folks are watching this Click Here! )
We must be relentless in our persistence that Boehner, McConnell, et al, not surrender to Obama. We must find and vet candidates in districts that are heavily leaning conservative. Running a candidate in a Democrat-laden district and then acting surprised when they lose is not a prudent use of time or resources. It’s imperative we fight smart and with a vicious intensity.
It is mandatory that people get over being star-struck because a politician shakes your hand and/or has a photo taken with you — that’s what they do.
It is also vitally important to understand that Republicans trying to run as Democrat littles will not be elected. History is replete with the evidence of this fact. Take time to study these things and you will see what I am saying is true. Karl Rove’s plan to mask left-leaning, big government, big spending Republicans as conservatives only worked for George Bush because he had the “compassionate conservative” catch phrase — which as I have said before was nothing more than code-speak for big government, big spending, and amnesty for illegals.
Conservatives win when they run as conservatives. If a candidate claims to be a conservative and is afraid to run as one — what chance is there that they will govern as one if they get elected?
Our country is not lost. Evil has not triumphed as many lament. I remind you that every war had dark days and battles lost. We are well on the way to taking back the reins of government. It is up to every concerned and committed American to realize that.
Our motto is “Freedom 2014.” Our motto is not a Kleenex, clenched hands and tears with the caption “They stole it.” It is time to man-up or step aside. We must all decide if we’re on board.
