SPECIAL EDITION FRIDAY: Herding Sheep by RoseAnn Salanitri

Yes, I have read numerous articles, and have watched a myriad of YouTube presentations, as well as interviews of all kinds on the vaccine, but I am not writing about the vaccine here. Regardless of whether or not you choose to take the vaccine or are vehemently opposed (as I am), there is something else worthy of our attention – something that disturbs me more than the long lines of those marching lockstep to the tune of government overreach.

I always strive to understand all aspects of life through a biblical lens. COVID 19 is no exception.  However, it is not its association with the plagues in the Bible (although significance can be found); it is its association with the Mark of the Beast (the Mark, Rev. 13:15-17) that most of us are familiar with.  No. I don’t think the vaccine is the Mark of the Beast. However, the willingness of the multitudes to submit to the coercion of others, obediently listening to the propaganda machines and government mandates, concern me greatly. For in my mind I can see the same long lines waiting to be tested or waiting to be vaccinated submitting all too voluntarily to receive the Mark.

Today we may be threatened with a virus, but tomorrow the threats will be multiplied threatening us with starvation, as well as ostracization from all social, personal, and work-related entities. If we can’t resist the herding now, who will resist it when it becomes a matter of survival – not just for us but also for those who depend upon us, i.e our spouses, our children, and our grandchildren? You may be willing to suffer for not taking the Mark, but are you willing to see those you love suffer – as did the first century Christians who were thrown into the arena, along with their families, to be torn apart by wild beasts?

Today those that have not been vaccinated, even if they are naturally immune because they survived COVID, are looked upon with distain – as if they are responsible for the spreading of the virus. When the Mark comes into existence, those who do not accept it will also be looked upon as criminals, since the tracking of all cash will reportedly eliminate  money laundering and black market transactions. Whatever wealth you may have will be useless and you will have to rely on survival skills and your ability to barter with your neighbors – at least those who don’t report you to the authorities as a criminal entity. Even if you own your home mortgage-free, it won’t be long before you can’t pay your taxes and your home will promptly be sold by the local Sherriff’s office.

I am well aware of the many who believe in a pre-trib rapture where we will not have to endure such hardships; however, as a wise friend once told me: pray for rapture but prepare for tribulation. While it can be hard to understand how one can prepare for such a troubling time, one thing that can be done now is to resist the test run the sheep herding the vaccine accommodates. Again, it’s not about the vaccine; it’s about the sheep herding that accompanies it.

If Americans will stand up to such pressures now, perhaps the prophetic future will have a harder time permeating this nation. As I watch the multitudes line up like sheep going to the slaughter, the vaccine and whether or not it’s advisable to take, pales in comparison to the lines I see in my mind’s eye of these same sheep lining up for the Mark.  To take the vaccine or not to take the vaccine should remain a personal decision. When we allow government to rob us of our personal decision making rights, we surrender our freedoms and have indeed submitted to a yoke of slavery – a yoke that will not only bind us in this life but in eternity as well.
