What Is The Truth? by Robert Socha

Why was Ghislaine Maxwell convicted on December 29, 2021, on five of six charges concerning victims who testified that she recruited them as minors to spend time with Jeffrey Epstein and herself, which ended in sexual abuse? And why is she still in jail for those crimes? And why is Epstein dead?
She is in jail because even though the defense argued in December 2021 that the victims’ memories were unreliable and Maxwell was a scapegoat, the prosecution compelled a jury of her peers to convict her beyond a reasonable doubt on charges of sex trafficking of minors, conspiracy, and transportation of a minor for criminal sexual activity. United States District Judge Alison J. Nathan sentenced Maxwell to 20 years in prison on June 28, 2022. And Epstein is dead because he was in jail for committing horrific crimes against humanity.
Since Epstein’s first arrest in July of 2006, when he pleaded guilty to the Palm Beach court in 2008 for soliciting and procuring a minor for prostitution, the general public has been wary of his exploits and clamoring for justice since Trump’s first term.
Thanks to the Citizen Free Press website, in a link to a Wall Street Journal exposé, there is a very compelling article indicting Epstein’s actions as criminal and having used his power to groom and exploit a generation of women.
In February 2025, Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed that a list of Epstein clients was “sitting on my desk right now to review.” This assertion echoes then-Senator JD Vance’s October 2024 podcast interview with host Theo Von, in which he said, “We need to release the Epstein list.” The importance of the document should not be understated or arbitrarily dismissed.
More compelling evidence of a torrid past and hundreds of victims comes through the public disgrace of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, following a BBC interview on November 16, 2019. One such case is that of Virginia Giuffre, who alleged in court filings that she was trafficked to the Prince for sex when she was only 17. The Prince settled a civil suit for an undisclosed sum, admitting no liability; however, the public shame had its necessary effect, stripping him of his titles and authority. (I understand these types of civil damages are a regular occurrence for high-profile cases to disappear. Even if the accused is not guilty, they may pay a sum to settle the matter. That is a preferable road than the continued public humiliation. I am not arguing the Duke’s innocence or guilt, just that these types of payoffs happen regularly. I believe the Senate has a fund dedicated to such, and President Trump used this tactic during his Stormy trials.) Tragically, I learned Ms. Giuffre committed suicide this past April! Was her suicide related to this scandal?
Why did we hear for so long that there is compelling evidence and a list of high-profile conspirators who flew with Epstein to his private island for debauched sexual escapades? Maxwell is willing to conduct a tell-all interview. If she did, could that be trusted? Could it be that Elon Musk’s retracted argument that Trump’s name is in the files has merit? Based on my knowledge of Trump removing Epstein from Mar-a-Lago for indiscretion toward a client’s daughter, I doubt it, but suspicion arises. Or should we back off as the President requested recently and trust the process?
Over the past two weeks, there has been a dramatic shift in the Trump administration’s stance. The President has gone too far in dismissing those of us who question the narrative and unforeseen turn around. AG Bondi issued a Department of Justice and FBI memo concluding there was “no incriminating client list” and investigations would cease. Why the about-face?
It is obvious that there was sexually criminal behavior over several years with scores of women through Epstein’s exploits. It is difficult to comprehend how a Black Book and incriminating evidence that has been suggested exists for 10 years is now suddenly fake news and a Democratic prop. Is it possible for these upper echelons of power to expose those among their ranks to the most depraved and debased debauchery? I want the truth and hope I can parse through the rhetoric and find that justice prevails, most importantly to vindicate those wretched souls whose innocence lost its virtue in the escapades and those who took their own lives in response to this torrid and scandalous affair.
