Let's Be Honest About Abortion
One of our major problems today is the successful neutering of society vis-a-vis political correctness. People are afraid to call a spade a spade, people are afraid of telling the truth for fear of being labeled insensitive, or being seen as intolerant. The result is that liberals and other lesser forms of life, that are bound by no such bonds of propriety, are able to advance their positions with little obstruction. Because, at the very suggestion of something being counter-productive to society, those asserting same are ridiculed and maligned.
I’m not asking for permission to be blunt and forthright. There are times it is the only way to make the appropriate point. Such is the way it is with abortion. The politically correct and the foolishly uninformed are quick to claim the murder of an unborn child is a woman’s choice. Following that logic, it was Hitler’s choice to murder Jews he found inconvenient, and it was a choice for Al Capone to murder all of the other annoying and bothersome gangsters.
Society and most of the world condemned Hitler and the acts of Capone. But, somehow, when it comes to having a 13 year-old girl or a 40 year-old woman get up on the table, put her feet up in the stirrups, and then have what amounts to a vacuum cleaner hose shoved into her womb, turned on, and the unborn child ripped apart as it is being sucked out of what was created to be a safe environment for the child to reach it’s full period of gestation. Grown men raping and sodomizing defenseless little six year-old girls or forcing defenseless little boys to orally satisfy them is seen as a criminal offense – but it’s a choice when a defenseless baby is burned to death in its place of safety, because its mother took a few pills, opting to exercise her choice for perceived sexual pleasure, but not worry about the responsibility associated with same.
Oh, and by all means, let me not omit Obama’s wife who swills BBQ ribs, heavily fat marbled steaks, and everything else she can shove in her gluttonous mouth, while telling us not to eat french fries. But the Obama’s don’t see the need to tell young girls and women that having a child burned alive inside them or having children sucked out of them by vacuum hoses carries unimaginable health risks and life-long emotional scars.
Rather, in all of his preening narcissism, Obama called the 39th year of selectively legalized murder: a “fundamental constitutional right” and pledged to “continue [his] efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.” The simple translation to his contemptible comment is, there are no consequences for a person’s personal behavior. The federal government will make sure the consequences of the person’s irresponsible behavior are paid for by someone else and the courts will ensure it stays that way.
At least that will be case until enough people find the practice as vile and animalistic as I do. If and when that happens, individual states will be able to exercise their right to either criminalize the murder of defenseless unborn children or decriminalize the rape, sodomizing, and murder of defenseless children. After all, both things are a choice.
