On Tuesday, June 3, I wrote: “Obama is a man on the ropes. He is coming more unhinged. Only a person with deep-seated emotional instability makes the public displays he does. Obama’s sucklings attempted to discredit the statement by Matthews, but their shameful leader’s disgraceful behavior undermined their objections. In Warsaw, Poland, also on June 3, Obama told a press event: “We have consulted with Congress for quite some time about the possibility that we might need to execute a prisoner exchange in order to recover Sergeant Bergdahl.”

But as is usually the case with Obama, the truth exposed is much different from his lies. A spokesperson for Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) said: “The president never consulted with the Senate Armed Services Committee on the details of such an exchange while the senator has been ranking member.” Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) was even more demonstrative in renouncing the lie Obama told in Warsaw saying: “The White House is wrong about that. I haven’t had a conversation with the White House on this issue in a year and a half. Now, if that’s keeping us in the loop, then this administration is more arrogant than I thought they were. The president says he kept Congress informed and, as I just told Joe, that’s simply not the case.”

[adsanity id=8405 align=alignleft /]Chambliss further exposed the absence of truth to Obama’s claim by saying: “I got a phone call last night apologizing for not giving us advanced warning. It was from a high-level White House individual. They [said] it had just been called to their attention that I had not received advanced notification of this transaction taking place.” In colloquial terms, White House staff realized Obama had lied, and it caused an “oh crap” moment. They had to cover his lie and that phone call was the best they could do.

The Hill.com exposed Obama’s lie even more when it revealed the leader of the Senate Intelligence Committee also got an apology phone call from the White House writing, “The White House has apologized to Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) for failing to alert her in advance of a decision to release Taliban commanders from Guantanamo Bay.” Permit me to say once again, Obama is a pernicious pathological liar.

But what needs to be asked of Obama is why there was a need to release and exchange five high-value Taliban prisoners for an Army deserter who, along with his family, has made his condemnation of America known. What made Bergdahl’s release so important that it warranted high-ranking Taliban terrorists being released?

Was Bergdahl a highly decorated black-ops soldier who had time and again shown himself to be a warrior par excellence? Of course not. Was he a deep-cover asset obtaining valuable information that could be used to bring down the Taliban? Of course not. Does he have informational secrets that can be used to reveal undercover members of the Taliban who have infiltrated America? Of course not. So just what was it that made an American-hating, wannabe-muslim, military deserter worth exchanging for five high-value terrorists? That is the $64,000 question. It is the one that should be on the lips of every responsible Congressperson.

The release of Bergdahl in exchange for Taliban members even as Sgt. Tahmooressi rots in a Mexican prison and Meriam Ibrahim sits in a Sudanese prison under threat of death for converting from islam to Christianity demands an answer pursuant to what makes him so valuable. The White House ceremony Obama held for the family of Bergdahl while he ignores the families of the Americans he allowed to be murdered in Benghazi, the families he ignores of Brian Terry and Jaime Zapata, his ignoring Pastor Saeed, and his ignoring the survivors of the Fort Hood terrorist massacre demands an explanation.

We don’t need speeches and the usual back and forth we are accustomed to from politicians.
We need answers as to what made Bergdahl so important.[adsanity id=11817 align=alignleft /]
