A Grand Jury indicted former President Trump. Unprecedented. Meanwhile the same elected officials touting no one is above the law are free from introspection and investigation. 

Trains derail and warehouses burn causing toxic chemicals to be spilled, burned, and released into the environment.  

Chicken coops and food processing plants are burning nationwide. Chicken feed has been found to keep hens from laying eggs, yet lab-made chicken meat might soon find its way into supermarket supplies.  

Technological advances in vaccine manufacturing for Bovines purportedly enables them to produce mRNA vaccines in their milk. There is also discussion of injecting beef with an mRNA vaccine to “inoculate” the general population through the food supply. 

China and Russia are colluding to end the petro-dollar trading empire. Meanwhile the US government is hellbent on forcing the automotive market to produce battery powered vehicles and their constituents to purchase them, exacerbating the petro-dollar decline. (Interestingly, Europe is backpedaling on their electric car tomfoolery.) 

War in the Ukraine and rumors of war are rampant.

Inflation soars at an unprecedented rate causing economic turmoil via uncontrolled debt. 

Transgender supporters’ vile and violent attacks on speakers who dare to contradict their delusion are allowed to run amuck with impunity.  

The insidious Chinese social media platform has provided an avenue for the US government to propose the Orwellian RESTRICT Act. 

There is a poliovirus outbreak in Burundi and Congo linked to the Gates-funded polio vaccine. 

The CDC recommends avoiding travel to Equatorial Guinea and Tanzania amid outbreaks of the deadly Marburg virus disease (MVD), a close cousin of Ebola with the same deadly effect. 

Murder, mayhem, feckless city governments, and activist judicial decisions have allowed our great cities to descend into chaos, instigating a previously unthinkable exodus and negative population growth. 

This daunting and demoralizing list could continue ad-infinitum. The news cycles are constantly barraging us with this type of negativity, and I have only exacerbated it here. The choices are clear: stay silent and hope it simply goes away and we can continue our lives unmolested; cower in fear and trepidation, hesitant to respond or engage in the hopes that the news will get better, and this too shall pass; invest time and energy to glean the truth from myriad sources, preparing our hearts and our homes for the next adversarial headline and emergency; and/or counter culturally speak out and declare the truth, shout it from the rooftops and be set free. 

The Good News is that while we thresh and strive to exist and contribute there is Hope. Though our mortal bodies may decay, our spirits can be renewed and transformed. There is a river of life that flows from Calvary, and everywhere it flows it makes the seawater fresh and brings forth an abundance of life. It is high time for us to wade in that river and look to the Author and Finisher of our faith to be filled with joy and strength to endure.

The men who eviscerate everything good and decent don’t understand the power of a deep and sincere faith in Christ. This power has overwhelmed government interdiction from Roman times and is working now to draw men to repentance and faith. It is uncontrollable, it is liberating, it has changed the world time and again, it is here now waiting for us to take hold of it and run as if we are the ones who will get the prize.  

We don’t have to fret because of the constant negative news cycle and infringement on decency and biological truth. We can overcome and be a light shining in this present darkness.
