Obama and Sharpton are trying to boost Obama’s blackness quotient. Evidently they feel his mac-daddy, hip-hop strut isn’t quite enough, so they paraded Housing and Urban Development Secretary, Shaun Donovan, out to shore things up among the black folks. In an attempt to convince the boys/girls in the hood that Obama is down with the struggle, Donovan told those gathered at Sharpton‘s National Action Network (NAN) that all of Obama’s hard work as president has been because he identifies with the black folks.
Donovan told the group that Obama knew what it was like to walk the halls of public housing because he had worked in public housing. He said: “[Obama] knows what it’s like to walk the streets of our cities’ poorest neighborhoods because he’s lived there.” And then he spun the grandest lie of the day when he said Obama had had to take a subway or a bus just to find a fresh piece of fruit in a grocery store.
But he didn’t stop there: Obama had to be concerned whether he could afford college or decent healthcare. And he worried about being judged fairly. According to Donovan’s White House-approved speech, Obama knew what it was like to not be judged on one’s merits or talent, but rather to be judged by where he came from, his name, and his appearance. Yupper, Donovan got it all in–Barry was down with the bro’s in the hood. The only problem is that everything he said after hello was a lie.
Obama did not grow up in poverty, and he certainly didn’t grow up in an impoverished neighborhood, and he doggone sure never had to worry about health insurance. And the only reason he would have been roaming the halls of public housing would have been to get the cocaine and marijuana he craved. It’s a fact that even if he lived in a mud hut in the jungle there would have been no need to take a bus to find a fresh fruit. Donovan’s tales of “he shared your pain” were damnable lies designed to underscore Michelle Obama‘s claims that the inner cities are vast “food deserts” where 23.5 million Americans (read blacks) including 6.5 million children (read black children) live. She claimed that these are the areas where people live without supermarkets and end up buying their groceries at gas stations and convenience stores.
The problems with her claims and the White House-endorsed Donovan speech are manifold. Surprisingly, none other than the New York Times debunked Michelle’s “food desert” claims, and the NY Times is hardly a bastion of conservative truth. For the Times to debunk her statements as false, they had to have been utterly baseless prevarications wholly unsupportable by the facts.
The New York Times wrote it this way: “It has become an article of faith among some policy makers and advocates, including Michelle Obama, that poor urban neighborhoods are food deserts, bereft of fresh fruits and vegetables. But two new studies have found something unexpected. Such neighborhoods not only have more fast food restaurants and convenience stores than more affluent ones, but more grocery stores, supermarkets and full-service restaurants, too. And there is no relationship between the type of food being sold in a neighborhood and obesity among its children and adolescents. Within a couple of miles of almost any urban neighborhood, “’you can get basically any type of food,” said Roland Sturm of the RAND Corporation, lead author of one of the studies. “Maybe we should call it a food swamp rather than a desert,” he said. Not only are the First Lady’s assumptions about “food deserts” wrong, but the idea that increasing the amounts of “healthy” foods in a neighborhood will result in slimmer waistlines is just absurd. “It is always easy to advocate for more grocery stores,” says Kelly D. Brownell, director of Yale University’s Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity. “But if you are looking for what you hope will change obesity, healthy food access is probably just wishful thinking.” (NY Time Debunks Michelle Obama‘s Food Deserts; theblaze.com; 4/19/12; Meredith Jessup)
I could write a novella on why the Obama’s are pushing the “there are no grocery stores in the ghetto” and “fat and black in the hood.” But let me quickly point out a couple things. The first is if they claim a shortage of grocery stores in the hoods, they can use money to open grocery stores as backdoor payola for those who hustled votes for them (think Sharpton and Jackson). The other reason is the worthless ignorance of classroom theorization.
If either Obama or his wife had actually spent time in the inner city they’d know that the last thing there is a shortage of are grocery stores and restaurants. Of course, they could know perfectly well they are lying and not care, but I digress. As I’ve written before, my friends and I go to the inner city for various ethnic foods that we either cannot get in our neighborhoods and/or because the restaurants in the inner city make the ethnic dishes better. But Mr. and Mrs. Harvard Obama, like most socialists, sat in classrooms, and, based on the those discussions, concluded fat people were offensive to them, especially fat black people. Victims and perpetrators were their two missing elements, but they easily solved that by making blacks the victims and fast foods the perpetrator.
And of course, in order to push that agenda, they’ve got to up the ante of hardship. I’m reasonably certain that there are fewer grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance in the suburbs than in the inner city. But Obama needs blacks to turn out in historic numbers if he is to get reelected. So we see him pandering to them–which is just one more example of the bigotry and prejudice that motivates these two people.

I live in the middle of nowhere. It’s a 45 minute drive to any meaningful retail, but we still have a grocery store. In all the cities I’ve ever visited (and I’ve seen a good portion of them, since we tend to get lost) there have been multiple grocery stores within just a few blocks, sometimes right next to each other.
And I’m not sure about all gas stations, but many of the ones I’ve seen sell some type of fresh fruit, as well as milk and a selection of groceries. Not a place you’d want to grocery shop, but not nearly so bereft of nutrition as they make them out to be.

Thanks to Mr. John McClain, USMC retired, who posted above, and all other veterans who have and are serving in uniform on behalf of the USA. Freedom is not free. There is always a price to be paid for those who serve their country. To allow the Obama’s to remain in the White House makes a mockery of that sacrifice.
Maybe I’m an eternal optimist, but I respectfully disagree that the 99% will buy into all the b.s. the Obama’s put out there. I think God has a Plan for everything and this was part of His plan. It is a wake up call to Americans and the rest of the world. Wake up America, before it’s too late. Please vote for Mitt Romney, my former governor. He was a great governor who was a consistent conservative. I’m very conservative and I cannot understand why so many “influential” conservatives like Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, etc. day after day, constantly rip into Gov. Romney as being a “moderate.” It just is NOT true. Romney’s record speaks for itself, if anyone would bother to check it! I expect the lies and propaganda from the MSM and left, but the right?!? It sure makes me think that maybe the supposed conservative pundits and talking heads are all part of the New World Order. Why otherwise would they keep berating the obvious GOP nominee?!? Do they want to see Ovomit get re-elected?!? Please know that Romney is a man of principles, integrity and honor. If there was any dirt to have been dug up, it would have been reported by now. There is nothing! Romney was consistent on illegal immigration — vetoing The Dream Act as governor of Mass. In fact, he has the record for the most vetoes (over 800!) of any Mass. governor in the state’s history, all with an 85% Democratic (and very liberal Democratic) legislature. If the man weren’t a true leader, he’d have failed with that kind of situation. He also required all Mass. state troopers to check the immigration status of persons arrested, not just pulled over. Also, he catches a lot of flack for “Romneycare” but as he explained it and I agree, as governor of the state, he had to do what was right for the citizens of Mass. Mass. is one of the most liberal states, if not the most, in the entire country! Liberals in Mass. have never met a liberal cause they haven’t liked or wanted to fund, even if the citizens of Mass. couldn’t afford it. Romney felt it was his DUTY to do what was the responsible thing for the taxpaying citizens of Mass. FEDERAL law requires that all persons be admitted to an emergency room. We all know that illegals and other people, even citizens of Mass. without insurance, go to the emergency room as though it were a doctor’s office. They know how to work the system. Federal law requires this, but guess who gets to pick up the tab — the STATE! I believe that Pres. Romney will repeal Obamacare as his first duty as POTUS. Please, support him and educate your friends and family to do their own research. Don’t rely on the media, even Fox News, which some conservatives blindly follow. We all have a duty to do our “due diligence” before we cast our vote for the POTUS. I take it very seriously and I hope and pray that others who blindly bought into the “hope and change” rhetoric will as well. God bless America!

It is so obvious that the “Presser” was a publicity stunt that failed to generate any real interest. Sounded like ~20 total. Listen closely next time you see the video and see for yourself. If the turnout would’ve been better, surely the Press would’ve shown it, and NAN would’ve flaunted it.

To water the “food desert” it is necessary to teach the denizens thereof to shop for healthy food not processed and/or pre-prepared foods and how to prepare it. That is what we taught our children and it works.

Here in Houston, Texas, entrepreneurial Hispanics have fresh produce stands all over the urban areas…even selling produce from the back of pickup trucks. And the more improvised the neighborhood the more stands you find. I’m sure most large urban areas are all the same. To say you’re not able to find fresh vegetables and fruits in large cities is a lie.
I grew up in inner city Denver and even then it was a short walk to several “Mom and Pop” grocery stores who even let us charge our groceries until payday. Enterprising men and women bought fresh veggies and fruits and walked the streets with push wagons selling from door to door.
The Obama’s evidently haven’t a clue of what it’s like to be Black. This is why I did not vote for him. His fairy tales are, shall we say…off color. And what Black person running for any office or making the news does not have some smiling relative in the background saying…”I changed his/her diapers or was his Mom’s best friend”. Black children are raised by a community.
Ever see what the Black football players mouthing the words, “Hi Mom” to the cameras? That is the Black experience of which the Obamas know NADA!

Both Obama and wifey know they are losing the battle for November and will push anything onto the public that will garner votes for “them.” Michelle thinks she has a forcefull voice in campaigning for her husband. But, I have listend to a number of blacks (and other races/nationalities) who think she stinks as a First Lady. And, they believe the same about the president. We have an imposter sitting in the Oval Office. We have a First Lady who certainly is full of vile venom and doesn’t hide it. She has been commended for her Fight against Obese Children. Although a good cause, the methods to keep our children healthy have become demands or else.
I didn’t vote for Obama but I thought he was an educated, handsome man, had a very pretty, well educated wife and two adorable children. Those feelings have changed over the course of three years. I can only look at Obama and Michelle with disgust and wonder what they are teaching their two little girls.

I lived one block from the western limit of Chicago for the last nine years before I enlisted in the Marines, and walked into Chicago, the inner city, because the liquor store, the grocery market, the used clothing store, the used furniture store, all were there, and not in my neighborhood.
I community organized through The Third Unitarian Church of Chicago, under the guidance of Dr. Leonard Pellegrino, friend, compatriot and parallel political thinker to Saul Alinsky, and because I experienced the terrorist acts of the Red Brigades as a child, living in Spain and Italy as a Navy brat, I learned the exact opposite lesson obama/sotero would learn six or seven years later- communism in America was the means of destroying our Nation, and a bad thing, while sotero/obama learned communism would destroy America, but it would be good.
The international communists have always been a force of destruction of current ongoing societies and nations, with the sole interest to divide a people, foment hatred between them, and destroy any culture, so nothing holds that Nation together, and then assume control over it, as it has been rendered defenseless.
I understood because I walked into a blood bath, wrought by The Red Brigades, coming home one day, and walking into the market square of our town immediately after it was bombed. The communists detonated perhaps half a dozen such bombs in the almost two years I lived there, and twice that many in the two years I lived in a similar town in Italy.
Everything said by the Alinsky followers and leaders makes sense to un-educated but propagandized people. Those who already know the truth about communism see nothing which makes any sense, because it is never about the people, and always about power and control.
Russian operatives who defected in the sixties, spoke long and commonly about the fact the issue of race was the easiest way to exploit America, because we, America, have allowed our feels to rule how we have dealt with racism, the aftermath of utter failure to enforce the law, with no real attempt even made, after establishing rights for all Man, and finally including Blacks.
Our own ignorance is blithely used to break us apart, and it takes all that people like Mr. Massie have, to even ameliorate some of the easily fomented divisive work, done each and every day by those determined to run a world government. If America must be destroyed before world government can be established, if our principles and our foundation deny all the legitimacy they desire, and we must be erased, our history distorted and our long sought goal of harmony has to be deliberately trampled, our nation must be subjected to the deliberate hatred spread by the Jackson’s and the Sharptons, maybe all of us, Black and White, Hispanic, Eastern, Native, all ought to consider just why it’s so important to destroy us, because an enemy does not put all his efforts and all his work and forces in an attack on an unimportant target, but puts all his intent on the most important key stone holding up the arch. If it was necessary to divide us, why do outsiders, and those who have infiltrated, work so hard and expend so much effort in the lying? Sotero/obama is a communist. He chose to join the Communist Party USA to run for the Illinois senate seat, and while they changed their name to “The New Party” right before the election, they never changed ideology, and he accepted his elected office as a full member of The New Party.
We have to look past all the rhetoric, and deal with facts. Some would like to rule the world, just as always. Communism is the preferred tool in this age, and the reason none of our government responds to any of our desires is because we have been infiltrated for over a hundred years, and about half of our government is people who are true believers in the principles of communism, as taught to them, and not as they could have watched played out. Lenin called them useful idiots. I call them traitors, and worthy of tribunals, and a hanging, if they are found to have committed treason.
We can’t save our Nation except by getting completely back on “truth” as absolute, and not only recognising it, but standing on it, and doing nasty jobs that are there to be done, because evil people have been hard at work, while far too many “good people” have hoped things were otherwise, but didn’t bother to check, or do anything.
We can save our Nation, and by it, our impact on the world, but only by cleaving to the principles of God, the God of Creation, and taking a strong stand on the founding principles which were truly menat for all Americans, and withheld from some because evil always worms its way in, no matter how much effort is expended keeping it at bay. Now is the time we have to act. These people should be removed from where they are not eligible now, for that reason, by the facts which have been proven to be correct, and this administration exposed as the tool of the communists who put him in place. If you do the research, you will find the exact same names behind him as I did. Any time the truth hurts, it is because we have allowed ourselves to believe lies, because they were easier than dealing with the responsibility the Truth puts on all honorable people.

If you have ever witnessed the aftermath of a riot or unhibited frenzy (can be caused by anything)in a ghetto, the first thing you see is looting….these are not wastelands, they have liquor stores (you bet), grocery, appliance, furniture rental everything a person could need. If the inhabitants did not use their food stamps for liquor, cigarettes and beer, there might not be any of the ‘starving’ children M. Obama sees in her hallucinations. Idiot.

kingO’s speech in Colombia regarding his plans for our immigration laws was set to bring the Hispanic vote to his door, and his comments, which by the way were totally out of place, about the Trayvon Martin case here in FL were intended to rally black voters to his side. Everything that he has done actually during his term has been orchestrated to help him win again.
In an earlier post by Mychal, (Michelle Obama: Another Example of Her Moral Turpitude) Lolo said this, “Here’s my dilemma; what do you say to your “friends” who are B.O. idolizers? I am dumbfounded by their inability to see what he is doing to our country. I so fear where the path will take us if he is re-elected. I had the same fears as he was campaigning for office but now they are underscored and doubled.”
My husband and I have been asking that same Q for ages. How can people, seemingly intelligent people, be so enamored by this imposter? And if those folks can be fooled, then for sure, as you said seafarerchief, the uninformed and 99% are going to vote for him.
Trying to get folks to listen back in ’08 was nearly impossible. Now, those who did vote for him, even if their are disenchanted somewhat, aren’t going to admit their grievous mistake!
When I hit the three score mark, I was not just a little annoyed. But now, facing the possibility of seeing that man flash his haughty countenance all over my telly, it makes me glad that I am nearly half way to that “and ten” mark that follows the three score. For if he regains his bed in the WH, it is going to be far worse on the young who have never had to do without or stand for anything except in line to buy their new i-thingy!!
