End Spiteful Persecution of Jan. 6 Protesters; Free Prisoners Now by Robert Socha
Free the January 6 prisoners now! All of them! This political witch hunt must come to an immediate end.
According to a report and video released on The Blaze, capitol police officer David Lazarus perjured himself on the stand to defend another officer’s account. The corroborated testimony helped convict innocent men and ruin their lives through incarceration.
Additionally, there is another gross injustice that happened last year when the Democrats who were on the January 6 select committee investigating the day apparently deleted critical files before the Republican members took over. Could those files have helped many incarcerated for the day’s events maintain their liberty?
A quick search for Ray Epps, returns a plethora of articles, most of which are from left-leaning sources that appear to put him in a sympathetic light. Based on the video evidence I have seen, he has been treated differently by receiving a mere 11 months’ probation for his role. There appears to be a double standard in these convictions.
Lieutenant Michael Bird, who unnecessarily fatally shot Ashley Babbit has apparently been promoted to Captain in the aftermath of the day and exonerated of any wrong doing. The woman, who was encouraged to enter the locked area and pushed through the broken window by a known antifa John Sullivan, is no more because an overzealous officer overreacted with lethal force. Her blood is a tragic reminder that political opposition to the current administration welcomes retaliation that is not only celebrated, but rewarded.
I am grateful Speaker Johnson released the tapes and provided evidence of mistrials. Now I call on our Congressmen and Senators to stand up against political persecution and end these banana republic shenanigans by calling on congress to let these people go free.
