Is Boehner What We Want As Leader?

Remember the Obama administration’s illegal gunrunning operation called Fast and Furious? Remember a couple weeks ago when the media was aflutter with the idea of Republicans bringing a citation of contempt of Congress against America’s chief law enforcement officer, Eric Holder, for not cooperating pursuant to his involvement? I remember.

I remember that Republicans were giving Holder until May 30, to turn over the documents and papers he had been ordered to turn over by Congressional Committee. I remember that some people questioned my loyalty to the Republican Party because I have the testicular fortitude to not be a Party sycophant and to not rationalize supporting traitors. I remember that people who hadn’t been around politics long enough to even be wet around the ears were trying to convince me that John Boehner wasn’t the progeny of the Janus, Roman god with two faces.

Well yesterday was May 30, and not only has Holder not cooperated but Republicans are acting like dogs wearing the cone-shaped Elizabethan collars to prevent their licking and scratching the incision where they were neutered.

Holder won’t turn over a thing until he is good and ready, and when he does it will be exactly what he wants, and if Republicans dare to complain that something is missing he will attack them as just out to get him. In the meantime, he is tutoring pastors on how to violate the tax-exempt status of their churches by using their pulpits to help reelect a black man. I’m sure God doesn’t mind his shepherds willingly being coerced into sin and leading their congregations into sin as well, but I digress.

We have elected men and women to represent us. We expect Obama to betray the people and the country–he’s a Marxist-Leninist and he is simply doing what comes naturally for a Marxist. But, we have a right to expect and demand that the so-called conservatives we elect to represent us will give heed to doing what is in the best interest of our country–but that is not the case with Party leadership as Boehner graphically shows.


The Western Center For Journalism reports that “Boehner Is Stalling Holder Contempt Citation On Fast And Furious.” Doug Book writes: “If Darrell Issa has any thoughts of the full House voting on his Oversight Committee’s citation of contempt against Eric Holder, he will first have to clear the idea with the Attorney General’s staunchest allies and political defenders—Republican Speaker John Boehner, Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Republican Majority Whip, Kevin McCarthy.” (5/14/12)

Book continues: “Upon the Speaker’s office being provided a draft of the citation last week, a spokesman for the Republican leadership said “’While there are very legitimate arguments to be made in favor of such an action, no decision has been made to move forward with one by the Speaker or by House Republican leaders.’”

I applaud Doug Book for writing the truth about what Boehner’s motivations are: “But a far more credible reason for the Speaker’s nervous stomach is…fear [of] negative political fallout from citing the U.S. attorney general with contempt of Congress in an election year. Boehner, Cantor and McCarthy are…worried about both the legal and political implications of the move, especially six months before what is already expected to be a razor-close election. In short, John Boehner is demanding that Democrat members of the House exhibit more courage in betraying their own Party than he and other Republican leaders are themselves willing to display by holding a corrupt attorney general responsible for disobeying the law!”

So there we have it. Boehner is showing he’s willing to allow the chief law-enforcement officer in the country to go free because he, Cantor, and McCarthy care what the media will say if guilty law-enforcement officers are not permitted to get away with murder.

But it doesn’t stop there. I have been doing some reading into the machinations of Fast and Furious in preparation for my interview of author Katie Pavlich (Fast And Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal And Its Shameless Cover-Up). I am convinced that there is more than enough evidence to indict and begin immediate proceedings against not only the Attorney General but against Obama and Hillary Clinton as well.

I challenge Boehner, Cantor, and McCarthy to tell We The People why they are putting concern of what the media might say over upholding the law. Are they in office to uphold the oath they took or are they in office to shaft We The People?  I have been telling people that Boehner is a traitor to Conservative principles and this proves it.

What does it say about the state of so-called leadership when they base doing what’s right upon what others may say?
